I’ll bet they have not fixed it. The release note should be available if they have a new version.

 

3.6.4 has been very solid for me. I'm not updating until a version has a feature I really care about.

 

I was just in to have an issue looked at, updated to 3.7

 

I got 3.7 today, i had 3.3.16 or something like that before. Got the car in decembre, never had a functioning phone as key, apparently 3.6.4 fixed it, anyone know what i need to do to make it work ? Shoukd it just start working on its own?

 

You'll need to go through the setup process for it: in the car, goto your profile > Digital Key and remote functions

It was the pairing process that was broken, so I assume you've gone as far as you could get which is that your phone has the app and is connected to the car for remote actions?

You will need all the physical keys in the car when you complete the DK setup.

Volvo has 3.7 in their release notes… just days bug fixes.

 

It’s a sign they’re starting to drop support for older cars, perhaps… they’ve done individual bullet points for specific model years, but this is the first time they’ve done an entire release for later model years, I think.

 

I think it's far more likely they found and fixed an issue that only applies to a specific hardware module revision only installed in some of these model years.

 

Agreed, noting to read into this beyond needing to fix something unique to some newer cars

 

Back in my day, if it was bug fixes it would be 3.6.X and changing to 3.7.X would have indicated a functional change or two.

3.7 can’t be the fix to the backup camera issue - it would be way too fast

 

A fix for Range Assistant?

 

I had it installed when they had to replace the rear view camera hardware since the software updates weren’t helping. Can’t say I’ve noticed any differences yet

 

My 2022 was just in for service and they updated it to 3.7.

 

Really interested in what changed with 3.7 for you as I have a MY 2022. Anything noticeable?

 

Interesting - neither Volvo or Polestar are showing 3.7 on their C40 Recharge and P2 websites. The latest listed is 3.6.4.

If it's like Volvo, it only affected cars running P3.5.14 - which would seem likely if it's only a total of two whole cars affected in the US.

Fixed in 3.5.24 onwards.

 

The other thing we're waiting for a fix on is the battery drain after honk & flash, which is why it was pulled from the app.
That's all I can think of for what's 'still' broken - Range Assistant and Honk & Flash - from earlier software versions.

 

They have just recently introduced a new bug limiting fast charging to 150kW 🙄

Oh, and I checked again today… Range Assistant is working fine for me on 3.6.4, but Journey Log isn’t perfect… it missed two hour long drives the other day.

 

Saw some posts on the Volvo EV forum from folks that recently had the shop install v3.7, still having problems with the rear camera not always coming up when you shift into reverse. Guess that's not really a surprise considering the Volvo/PS track record trying to resolve the issue.

 

Given that NSTSA has reopened the camera issue with P*/Volvo I think any release that fixes it will again require notification of impacted users. I’d expect other release between now and then for other issues.

 

Im not sure what everyones experience with 3.7 is, i had it installed sbout 2 weeks ago, from 3.3.16 (i think). I never had reverse camera problems, i still dont. But since 3.7 it seems the software is more unstable requiring more frequent infotainment system reboots. The other morning i had for the first time the system boot up with a progress bar on the screen, and it simply wouldnt finish booting after a good two minutes so i had to reboot it.
On the plus side phone as key now works.
Hopefully they can release something more stable in the future
