Hey everyone! The time has come... Finally listing the sun visor extensions I designed and tested for use with both the left and right side factory sun visors. Installation is quite simple, just line it up and push to snap in place. Follow the post here, video demonstration for install at the bottom.

These sit solidly in place and block sunlight all the way to the B-Pillar of the car (behind the front door). They are made of high quality ASA which is resistant to high temperatures, UV light and environmental stress cracking. Perfect for automotive applications.

For all physical orders: We have decided to do everything through Etsy to simplify things, so please order through there. Link here
For digital file orders:
You may not distribute or sell the file or the printed model. Please please respect this as I've put tens if not hundreds of hours into this. I'm not trying to make money on this, just trying to recoup my costs. Link here
Orders will be processed FIFO and I can only produce about 2 vehicle sets per day so please bear with me if there are some delays initially.

Cost: $17.99 for one side (either LH or RH) or $29.99 for both LH and RH sides + shipping (calculated through pirateship.com - I've had the best luck with their services). Starting out as US ONLY for now. I'm still working on how to deal with customs for international orders since I know there are people wanting them and I will hopefully have that figured out within the next week or so.

If you would like to place an order, please fill out the form here: Order Form then I'll create an invoice and send it back to you.

Quick update - my wife and I have been working nonstop since listing and were able to get 5 more orders finished, pulling the final set off the printer now and then heading to the post office in hopes to beat the 5pm collection deadline.

Thanks again all for your orders and patience!

New shipment of filament arrives tomorrow (I already cleared out the local microcenter so I'm relying on amazon) and our Etsy listing is basically ready to go for the non-US folks. We're going to take the rest of today and tomorrow off then hit the ground running on Monday.

Alright I lied, we're back at it today. Performed some maintenance and cleaning to keep things tip top and already making the next batch. In case anyone's curious about our little production corner...

I also noticed that the ETA for the some of the first batches that went out is as early as Monday! Excited and nervous at the same time... Hope you all like them.

Awesome, thanks so much all for the feedback!

I should have all the new orders (received before this post) out by tomorrow as well.

I have created the Etsy listing for international orders but want to get caught up on shipping out current orders first. I'll post the link tomorrow most likely.

@Ol Hobo @eGuru @RmK71 @Java @Dude tagging you all as you previously expressed interest and are outside of the US. I have now added an Etsy link for international orders (Polestar 2 Sun Visor Extender - Etsy) to the original listing. If you would like to place an order, feel free to do so there.

If you would like to order just the digital file ONLY, you can order through the normal US order page.

Since I am not in the US and would like to buy the digital file, what methods of payment are you supporting?

Thanks everyone! You're all too kind, I really appreciate it.

I'm just happy I can help people. This is really the only thing that's bugged me with the car!
This is not a product I have found I have needed to date (combination of my driving style, windy routes- with terrain and built up city blocks to provide shade, dark window tints and fancy-pants RayBans), but I cannot commend you enough on doing this for your fellow owners. Realistically you are doing this for love, not money, as to compensate you for your time and effort appropriately would blow the unit price of these to astronomical levels. Although if you do end up being the Jeff Bezos of automotive sun shade add-ons, just remember all your start-up clients and offer them a free trip on your mega-yacht!

Thanks for the feedback, unfortunately both are due to limitations of 3D printing.

1. This was my original intent, however, as the part got taller it also got less stable causing pretty awful surface finish issues due to the part wobbling more.
2. The overhangs have limitations and a curved overhang is extremely difficult to print. This causes it to curl, droop, etc and likely would cause failures. If I were printing in PLA it might be better, but with ASA in a hot chamber there's no chance.
