I bought one of these a couple of years ago. Will it work? Is the problem just that it will be slow?

Nope, that is a level 2 charging adapter (so only use them on destination chargers, the small ones that look like home chargers)

Similarly, the new NACS to CCS adapter can only be used for level 3 DC fast charging on superchargers but not smaller level 2 units.

No. This is a J1772 adapter that is only for AC charging. You need one of the new larger adapters that engages the two DC pins on your car.

Unfortunately you need to have two adapters with you now. An AC adapter and a DC adapter. And even then some of the older Tesla DC chargers are still not compatible. 🙁

No, thats an AC adapter.

Just successfully charged my P2 at Tesla Supercharger using A2Z Typhoon adapter discussed above. No issues - just a couple of caveats:

1) Google Maps in my AAOS does not yet reflect all Tesla Superchargers, just the magic dock equipped ones.

2) Unplugging the Tesla plug from the A2Z adapter is not obvious. You need to press the A2Z release, then push in the Tesla plug - then pull it out.

This is posted in the Polestar FAQs and this simply isn't true. The A2Z and Lectron adapters are already in wide use.
Thanks for the tip! Just used the code for A2Z; I’m a supporter of our neighbors to the north, always great products and support. Tom Moloughney of State of Charge YouTube channel recommend and use this adapter.

Are you US based?

Can you elaborate a bit on 2) please? I'm confused... If you want to remove the T plug why would you push it in first ?

In NJ, Short Hills space (Prestige) didn't know anything this morning and this afternoon said to call back next week and they might be able to order it. I called the Princeton space and they happily took my information and CC details over the phone and ordered it for me.

I also tried calling the Volvo dealership in town and they wouldn't order it for me (although they had it in their system) claiming that they'd have to log the vehicle with the order and the Volvo system would reject entering Polestar vehicle details (sounds like BS, but it is what it is).

Princeton NJ Volvo wants $299 plus tax. Apparently there’s Tesla magic jack available at superchargers around me so at this point I’m not buying.

I bought the Lectron - $199 minus various coupon codes (I used STATEOFCHARGE since I got it based on their review).

That’s why I picked the Lectron… easier latching, even though it’s bigger and doesn’t come with a case.
