Has anybody got this one yet? Looks like a PS technician is going to have to take a little trip to Colorado.

jeez - nope haven't seen that one.

standard things I do now:
  • Reset by pressing the home button for 20 sec
  • Rebotting by pressing "play/pause" for a while
  • Parking, locking car, and stepping away (so fob >6ft from car) for ~10-20 min, then reopening and restarting

I do think the car has to kind of work out its software kinks and then go from there. Who knows if maybe the cold weather is triggering something?

Thanks! Option 3 (just leaving it be for a while) seems to have at least temporarily cleared the fault. I'm not going to over-think it for now. In the end, if it is a legitimate issue, then Polestar would have to come fix it since it is obviously a safety issue. But hoping that it won't be necessary.

That's often caused by the 12V battery being a bit low. If you can leave the car powered on for a few hours safely locked in a garage, it might top up the 12V battery enough to stop it happening again. It's also been seen in the past after various updates have been applied but the car hasn't been completely powered down (disconnect battery, wait 30 mins, reconnect). Hopefully you don't need to take it to the dealer...

Giving this thread a bump because I’m getting this same error message. I’ve had it twice in the last week. There are other times when the error doesn’t appear.

Did anything come of the error noted by the OP?

Hi @Squid. My warning was intermittent, but the car did eventually get trucked back to Marin for service (due to a separate issue). They addressed the airbag issue at that point, but I do not know what they actually did (largely because we were focussed on a much more series issue where my car shut down on the highway).

Anyway, my car has been essentially perfect since then (other than occasional TCAM issues, like most people).

Good luck!

Thanks, @JPC. Sorry to hear about those early issues but glad they worked out and that the airbags didn’t suddenly deploy. Weirdly, my error seems to pop up when the car has been parked in the hot sun. I might contact my service location just to be safe.

I had this one recently. Was intermittent and still let me drive so I put off doing anything for a couple of weeks, but it was almost due for a service anyway so I eventually took it in. As far as I know they didn't replace anything, just moved or better secured some wires under the driver seat apparently. Haven't seen it since and it's been a couple of weeks now.
