Hi! My first message on the board having recently got a Polestar 2 (I am UK based).

I am just getting used to the Android Automotive OS and I am confused as to why I am unable to see or download the Amazon Music app from the Google Play store. I can see other Amazon apps like Prime and Audible but no Amzon Music.

Can anyone help? Thanks

Hi! I’m just getting used to the forum as I am my new Polestar 2.

I just posted on the main P2 forum but posting here as am uk based and not sure if this is a regional specific issue

I am just getting used to the Android Automotive OS and I am confused as to why I am unable to see or download the Amazon Music app from the Google Play store. I can see other Amazon apps like Prime and Audible but no Amzon Music.

Is it available in the UK for download?

Because Amazon doesn't have these on Android Automotive (they are on the regular Android platform, but that's different). You'll have to use your phone via the Bluetooth connection. I use Audible a bunch (and Global Player, as I am a US based fan of Classic FM...). Works just fine, if a bit kludgy.

Greeetings - newb here too. Got our car a month ago.

Installed this the other day. I don't recall anything odd happening when I did it...just searched the store, found it, added it. I am in the UK.

I'm pretty sure I searched rather than scrolled through IYSWIM. Put 'Amazon' in the search bar.

It works well when you do find it though ;)

I've replied on the UK forum on this topic...but I installed this on my car the other week. ISTR I used the search function to find it, but it installed directly on the car and works fine, no phone required for me. UK based, if that matters.

I'll try and remember to take a picture of what I have installed later.

@PoleThor , FWIW...this is what it looks like on ours:

...must dust the screen...I fitted one of those thin glass anti-glare sheets which gives it a slightly matt appearance, but it really does help with glare....although my bald head was shining brightly in the reflection even so.

I'm not a big user Amazon Music either, just have the "free" version that you get with Prime, but in the absence of Apple Music, except via CarPlay which I have yet to try, or BT streaming from the phone, which I have tried but is clunky, this works well enough.

There was a user here developing a native Apple Music app and was offering it out to interested parties to try, but he hasn't replied to my request :(

It would be nice if the car had a 'media register' like the old MB did, but I get that is a very 'boomer' kind of thing to want ;) So last millennium.
