I just want an Apple Music app! :p
Meh. CarPlay works well enough for that. I wouldn’t mind Netflix. Amazon Prime is fine for waiting around but Netflix (at least in Canada) has more things I want to watch.

(Of course I don’t want an Apple Music app to be unavailable for those who would like to have it—just expressing a personal preference). Ideally, both would be available.

I still don't get the big need for video in the car. In 4 years I've used it maybe twice, and then only while using a free charging session rather than going home. Otherwise when I'm on the road and need to stop to charge, the last thing I want to do is sit in the car longer.

I have never received a notification about an update. OTA or otherwise, and the nearest service center is 100 miles away.
Never? The last one I got was 3.1.9. What version are you on?

Then you've never waited in the car for your wife while she “just has to do a quick bit of shopping”.😆

I use the YouTube app when waiting for my kid to come out of play practice…

Does anyone use the browser for anything? My only real use for it is to track a flight on flightradar24 if I'm waiting for someone at the airport.
i use it a lot.
(i use Vivaldi, BTW)

aside from YT and chess while charging (so very rarely), i use it often to listen to podcasts which are difficult to find in podcast apps, to manage my home charger from vendor website, to check electricity prices to program charges.
then i've used sometimes to check some restaurant website, make reservation and pass the route to gmaps.

pretty useful.

Same here..reading news etc. It's also the only way to listen to Youtube while driving.

WhatsApp is the big one for me with AA, along with better Spotify. I find the AAOS Spotify app kind of awkward, often struggling with the 'Radio' type playlists that get automatically updated. It seems to cache them and then never update.

I just hope it doesn't break something else. Lol. Two steps forward and one step back kinda thing lol.
Or 1 step forward, 2 steps back. But yeah, this is something I've wanted all along. Just in time for my new car to be shipped.
Yawn!
With AAOS I would never go back to AA.
Not a this or that, it is this on top of that. IF AAOS supported all the same apps as AA then yeah, sure, but it doesn't.
Try taking a TEAMS call/meeting in the car, nope, not as fluent as AA for sure!
For example, when leaving and deciding which car to take. (If I am alone, 100% Polestar, if my wife is, she takes the EV6, if together, typically I drive the P2) Then she says "I have to take a call, so let's use my car, yours won't work" And yep, something that simple means KIA over Polestar. And if that applied to purchasing, SHE would not buy the Polestar over something as simple as that. "If they can't do that right, what else is missing" type of thing. And this is 4 YEARS after release!

Long before we had screens in cars I frequently dialed into meetings while driving (and with Teams I thought you can also do that). What I consistently found was that I lost track of the meeting thread because things on the road required my attention and distracted me. Usually someone updated me when I got into the office. Once I had a meeting with our COO and I finally just had to pull over so I could concentrate on the meeting and express what I needed to.

Today, unless it's urgent, I don't even initiate a call to one of my kids until I'm someplace where ACC and/or PA can take over most of the driving.

Same here; I tried doing a TEAMS call in my Polestar the other day when on the move. Useless, the others couldn't hear me. Pulled over, disconnected from CarPlay and all was good. Never again.

I hate Teams with a passion… Zoom has excellent call quality.
