If you had an option choice which option would you include if you had to make a choice as both options cost the same: AWD or Nappa Ventilated seats?

I may be in the minority but I love my weavetech seats. They’re very easy to clean (with a 60 lb dog riding with me at least weekly). They also are very comfortable and I like the look (although the stigma is yes leather is more premium).
I’m in Texas and haven’t had any issues yet but I’ve only had the car for the winter. We’ll see if the sweat issues I’ve heard about happen.

I'm with you on the WeaveTech, and I have been through a Memphis summer with no issues. Now my car is garaged when at home so that probably makes a difference, but I am very happy with the seats. Had I gotten Nappa I would probably have been just as happy - I have no basis for comparison. The only Polestar I've ever seen, much less sat in, is still mine.

I am picking up my car on Saturday and can not wait! I got dual motor with all three packages and charcoal weave tech. I debated for a long time on leather, but for me, the weave tech looks nice, feels good and the leather is simply not worth 4 k even with ventilated seats. If I end up with regret later (which I doubt) I can always add katskin leather covers a lot easier than a second motor!

I totally agree. I drove practically all combinations (SM vs. DM, 3 types of seats) and ended up with DM with weavetech. I felt like I was sitting “on top” of the leather seats and more “in” the weavetech ones.
Ventilated weavetech would have been the best option for me, if those were available.

Regarding DM: this is what I’ve been pondering about the longest during the buying process. The SM is definitely powerful enough for most people and situations. But man… that sheer power of the DM kept seducing me!

Im kinda over leather seats, mainly because I m disappointed in how little is actually leather. IN the past I have picked leather because I didn't like the other options or colors. My last car had ventilated seats and I didn't think they worked well enough to justify the cost, and I didn't have much need to use them. I didn't try the Polestar seats, so I'm totally talking out of inexperience, but I didn't try them because the color of the seats were not of my liking.
I have always lived in areas with "heavy" snow, and plenty of rainy days, and I have only owned all-wheel drive cars, so that was a must for me. The power and performance were added bonus.
I am fortunate that I didn't have to make that choice of one OR the other, but I still chose NOT to get the leather; personal choice.

But Yeah, save the cows, and go for the power! ;)

I initially was going to go for the gray weave tech seats...until I sat in the leather demo they had during my test drive.

It gives the car an upscale vibe, not just because of the leather, but because the weave tech interior is so drab and dreary with very little contrast. It makes the interior feel smaller than it already is, visually.

The leather brightens up the cabin, but also dresses it up quite a bit. Feels like a proper luxury car interior. The salesperson suggested i sit in the leather one because as he put it "the weave tech is nice but the leather interior steps it up 2 notches"

Having said this, if i had to choose between AWD and leather, I'd probably choose AWD. not because of the traction (I live in southern california, don't need it) but because of the POWER of the dual motors.

But it'll totally depend on your use case. I find that i'm babying the leather a lot. A part of me does wish i had the more durable weave tech. in 3 years it'll look just as it did from day one. Just wish that it came in brighter colors. That would be the perfect middle ground. But do yourself a favor and at least sit in one with leather if you already haven't.

We have nappa leather in our XC90, presumably very similar to the Polestar's, and weavetech in my PS2. I haven't had needed ventilated seats yet since it's winter, but the fabric itself doesn't bother me. I drive both cars regularly and don't feel like it's an issue or downgrade when I hop in the PS2. In my case I decided to put the upgrade money towards the performance pack instead of leather and it was a slightly difficult decision, but I would definitely get AWD over leather.

I think they could’ve done better than the weavetech. Though durable, it feels cheap. More than a handful of YouTubers also mention this. It’s described as the feel of a wetsuit. Not the kind of feeling I want in a $65k car. Also the 2 offerings (charcoal and gray) are too dark in my opinion, as others on here have mentioned.

If modern and vegan is what they were going for, I think vinyl (or pleather ) would’ve been better. My wife has the white vinyl seats in her model Y, and I think it looks clean and modern. Very durable, and pretty stain resistant as well. I cleaned them with a damp cloth last week and was able to get them pretty clean.

Great question OP… I’ve owned my launch edition for almost 9 months now and I still get in to my partners 2019 X3 and think wow this is so lush in here compared to my P2… but I would choose the dual motor every time, nothing beats the feeling and the grin on my face when I floor the pedal. Everyone will have different priorities but for me the power wins. I’m still not sold on the weave tech but we have to move on from leather
