Bending Lights - another missing feature?

I am 99.9% certain mine do not bend, based on my 3 year expereience with the P2 (and yes they are activated. I tried with them on and off, as you never know with these Polestar programmers). Can anyone confirm they do work? Has anyone had them fixed due to a recognized fault? If they do work, it is a very subtle effect. Maybe I am missing it.

This is interesting. My mom's P2 lease is coming up in a couple months and I was thinking about getting her into a P4. How are the lights bad? Not bright enough or beam isn't wide enough? My P3's headlights are great. They don't bend significantly but the beam pattern is great and you can see the sides of the road clearly.

They flicker on and off like an 80's rave, there are significant and noticeable gaps between the pixels, and the worse thing of all is that the 'real' main beam (the one that fills in all the gaps left by the shoddy pixel system) fully switches off whenever even a single 'pixel' is deactivated, instantly halving the overall light output.

The near non-existent bending (which really does seem to be limited to enabling / disabling a couple of outer rows of pixels) is the least significant of the deficits.

The system on the PS2 was at least an order of magnitude better. The lighting system is extremely disappointing.

The massive difference is that the P2 had 84 pixels, all capable of being lit simultaneously and powerful enough to provide primary illumination.

The P4 has a fraction of the number of pixels, plus they can't even do an actual full main beam at the necessary power, so the system has a secondary 'flood' main beam to compensate, but that entire secondary system gets shut off as soon as just one of the the pixels goes dark.

It really is hard to overstate just how crappy it is compared to the P2.

I wonder if there's another (missed) flag that needs setting to activate this function in your region.

It's incredibly obvious if it's working. Even when stationary you can see the beams move left and right as you move the wheel. You would definitely notice it if it was doing it.

Speaking of the Pixel lights flickering. Driving last night, humid foggy conditions. I had the windscreen on defog, as it was fogging up pretty quickly inside. I wonder if it effected the Pixel light detection? as it seemed to be working really badly, flickering on and off all over the place. I got flashed by someone and I realised it was not working properly so I switched to manual. It's the first time I noticed this flickering problem that you are all mentioning. For me so far it has been pretty stable.

The flickering is something thats been happening since .6 software update. Only happens when its twilight on my car, doesnt get confused if its bright or dark.
About the bending lights, I do think they bend and how much they bend depends on speed+steering input. At low speeds the pixels shift (its very apparent if its working) and at high speeds the lights bend (this is not very apparent). Its really hard to test this at speed on a regular road (safely).
A good test would be to record from the front camera on a runway or similar wide long surface, drive fast and curve left and right. The lights will move.
