Hi, I took delivery of my P3 on Thursday last week - my glove box works. I asked the Polestar guy what to do if doesn‘t and he said you have to press the glove box with some pressure - than it should work. So maybe the glove box in your car was never opened before and needs some force to open for the first time.

When I handed it over, they told me the glove box wasn't working. I would have to wait for the next software version.

 

That's strange, with me the button on the screen just works. I do wish the glovebox was a lot bigger

 

I got the glove box fixed, after software was reinstalled. It is now possible to open with the button on the display.

 

Having this issue now. Glovebox button hasn't worked over the last 3 drives. Would really like to get to the medication I had in there...

I live 7 hours from the nearest Polestar Space 😭😭😭

 

Really wish that the Google Voice commands would allow you to open the glovebox by voice. That would be much simpler than delving into buttons or telling your passenger how to find the button.

 

I had this bug as well. Just punched and pressed the glovebox with my fist at various locations for a couple of times while pressing the release button on the screen. This made the stuck latching mechanism to work again. No issues since then anymore.

 

It open flawlessly from the quick button tray, but one-in-five times from the Short-Cut screen for me.

 

i really can't understand what TF were they thinking when first said "yeah, let's put a button on the screen to open the glove box with an electric latch and take away a 0.0... $ plastic button nobody ever complained about!"

geez.

 

My Polestar 3 has been waiting for me to accept delivery for the past month because apparently the glove box motor is malfunctioning - they ordered a new one but Canada Post was on strike so I think they are switching out a motor from a demo vehicle.

Good to see others are having a similar issue. Wouldn't it be better if they just had a nice handle/key feature.

 

I've had my car for three months. Mine wasn't opening so I sat in the passenger seat, pressed the button to open it, then really quickly bashed the top left and top right side of it with my hands. Ping, it opened. Now it opens and shuts just fine. I can’t remember if I ever opened it before, so maybe this is a first one-time-only thing that needed doing.
