Google maps route line dissapearing

Has anyone ever experienced the blue route line disappearing from the map while navigating? It’s happened to me twice now, both times when I’ve stopped mid route, left the car to grab a coffee, got back in and it’s disappeared - makes navigating a bit tricky! It vanishes from both the main display and steering wheel display - the destination is still programmed, but the maps just show my car as a floating arrow on the map.

Cancelling/reprogramming the route has no effect, as does turning off the car/turning back on again. It also seems to coincide with the satellite view not showing despite it being toggled on in the settings. Weird.

Interested to know if anyone else has experienced this or found a fix?

has happened me a few times not sure what casues it.

But if you park and do a soft reset of the car it works again. (holding both buttons on the wheel)

Yes it happened to me a few times when I'd driven somewhere for a meeting and then got back into the car for the return journey.

Could not get it to work and ended up using maps on my phone instead.
