It's still pretty buggy, no question... but it does work for me at least. However, searching the library sucks because it limits the car to (I think) 100 books from your library. Thanks to more than a decade of both my wife and I having Audible Premium Plus subscriptions we have around 1000 books in our shared library now. I've found though that if I start playing a book on my phone then next time I get in my car it's already queued up to continue playing so that works but it is suboptimal.

Sorry I can't help with your problem. I have seen often that it fails to work properly on cold start and I've had to bounce over to another audio app to stop Audible then restart it.

When I contacted Audible at the point it was released, they stated that the system only showed 50 books.

If you have more, then you need to go into your list on a mobile device and go through your library marking the old books as archive, to only see the new ones. Doesn't look like any new updates have added any new filtering options.

I have an issue where if I'm playing a book and don't stop it before getting out of the car, when I next get in the app will not play. I then have to choose another audio app (Spotify) and then go back to Audible before it will play again. Not investigated too far, but that's what it seems like to me

Yes I had this problem after I reinstalled the app.
You need to log out on the app in the car. When you go to log in, there is a very small option to change your region.
The chances are, it has defaulted the Germany.

There is a pic in the other Audible thread
