As someone down under, I'm very jealous I can't get it to show or set it up!

Out of interest, is it this service?

If I try opening that link link manually, I can't link my account on iPhone - the link does nothing.
(and using a US VPN made no difference)

Volvo ones are either;
or

Not sure if that's the same one. On my Android phone it does open assistant and show a page about that service, but there's no indication it's actually setup.

fwiw all of the commands it lists do work:

That time was around when I was last in the car so it seems reasonably up to date.

Cool, managed to get it to work; changing region and language to English (United States) worked fine, and I could get my Nest Hub to cool down my car.
Sadly as soon as I changed things back to English (Australia), they no longer work.

Hoping this doesn't take forever to expand outside the US.

Just did it also. Thanks for the great info! Hopefully when I get back to the airport tomorrow I can tell the Assistant to warm up my car...and then the power update will show up on the drive back to the house. That would be a wonderful Friday. 😁

FYI, I just asked my phone if my car doors were locked. Interesting that wit's response was:

Here's what I got from Polestar: about 35 minutes ago, your doors were locked.

So I'm guessing it just interacts with what has been cached on the back end when querying. I even modified the query to "Are my car doors locked now?" and it still gave me the 35 minute old status. It will be fun to play with this, and it might also give us some insight into how the back end works.

My guess is that when the car is "on" it sends a status update every few minutes to Polestar, and Google is just reading from that.

It'd explain why despite parking in a garage with no service the Polestar app occasionally shows battery SoC for me - there's some caching happening on Polestar's side so that the car doesn't have to stay in constant communication when off.

I did get back this morning and my tests worked well. I asked from my phone to heat up the car and it said it would notify my once it started the climate precondition (don't remember the exact words). I then checked from the app and saw the climate was on. About 10 seconds later I got a notification. When I got to the car it was preconditioned. I also played some with the systems from my Google Home/Nest devices. Asking for battery status and such. Primary was my Sonos Move in my home office with Assistant built in. Worked well, and would give me battery SoC and predicted range as well as the time the last status was reported so you know how old the cached data was. I'm pretty impressed. :)

Can confirm it doesn't work (yet) in the UK. You can search for it and it appears, but the link button - although present - does nothing when you tap it.

I'm not fiddling around with my regional settings - will just try again in the future.
