Can anyone confirm if the Polestar 2 only supports 2.4 GHz connections? I saw some comments elsewhere. I've moved one of my TP routers three feet away from the car and it doesn't see it at all, so I'm sure it is not signal strength.
+1i can confirm you have to have guest network on deco for it to see it. just turning off wpa does not work
Mine works with WPA enabled (so still password protected) but Polestar 2 doesn't seem to support WPA2 :-(Make sure WPA is disabled, or - as Belac suggests - set up a guest network.
Worth pointing out that the guest network thing usually works because guest networks rarely if ever have WPA enabled though, and not for any other reason. So if you can, you might as well just disable WPA.
And yes, it's 2.4GHz only. In 2021.... Gotta use up that stock of old Volvo TCAM units somewhere...
Yeah it connects to my WPA2 network. Maybe it’s WPA3 that doesn’t work?Mine works with WPA enabled (so still password protected) but Polestar 2 doesn't seem to support WPA2 :-(
I’m seeing the same thing on the Deco x75Pro I just installed. I solved the same way.I have 3 TP-link deco x60 in a mesh network and could not connect my car via Wi-Fi. After activating a guest connection (2,4 and 5 GHz) there has been no connection problem. Same problem with my robot mower was also fixed![]()
