Light knock / thump at accelerating from standstill

Hi guys,

Just had the wheel of fortune issue fixed last month. Was hoping the new axles would also fix another thing I have been having;

I can hear a slight (single) knock / thumb, when accelerating from a stop or when almost coming to a stop and then accelerating again.

It’s only at speeds < 15 / 20 km/h

The car doesn’t jerk or feels weird. Just the thump / knock. I can feel it in the pedals a little, but not in the way the car behaves.

Power delivery is still nice and linear

Any of you have had this?

I read this could be a subframe bolt / mount or motor-mount / differential play and that this has occured on earlier MY21_P2’s

I have the same thing but the service tech claims not to hear it. I think it’s because it’s a 30 minute drive there and the sound is mostly gone by the end of that journey. Something is warmed up? Not sure. It’s definitely louder for me when the car hasn’t been driven for a while.

Weird … my sound definitely doesn’t go away… but I too get the feeling that it is slightly less now that it is warming up.z

yes.
i have it too.
my guess: a CV joint or an axle.

will check on an elevator.

service claims it's normal.
i dare to disagree.

yeah, definitely it's not normal. It's a hard knock happening on the left front side on slow speeds, while recuperating, accelerate and there's a knock, then leave the gas pedal and it's recuperating. Just before it stops there's same knock again.

Me too! It almost feels like the motor need to rotate a bit before it "catches" the driveshaft if that makes sense?
