Lost internet connection

Lost connectivity with the internet - car location on my phone is incorrect and my sat nav does not work. Tried re-setting doing the screen shut off followed by pressing the font demister button, but did not work. Now the front passenger indicator flashes intermittently when the car is parked. Has anyone else had these problems?.

Yes, welcome!
Leaving the car locked can reset everything, in a couple of minutes or hours or days.
But you need to do a tcam reset or just call Polestar and let them handle it.
See the stickies in this forum.

Otherwise keep trying the resets you already have done and locking and leaving the car alone to reset on its own.
Good luck!

I had the same problem - however as a new car owner it was the first time I tried to charge the car from home.
Also noticed the app location was not updated when I drove home after midnight.

charged using the 13A cable.

charging worked just now from the charger (10:13am)

no idea what software the car or app is on. Will check later!

Update:
The car seems to have updated firmware with a slightly different display (now when in 20mph are shows 20 with zone underneath).

it is frustrating that no message is pushed out to show an update has happened.
Feeling uncertain if an electric car was a good option if everything is experimental, I guess time will tell.

I'm experiencing similar. App still shows car is at a location I was at previously, even though it's parked on my driveway.

My journey yestersay had no signal in the car, so couldn't use the sat nav.

Tried rebooting the infotainment system numerous times, but no luck. Issue still persists.

MY22 LRDM running v2.4.

This was yesterday. Haven't been out and checked today.

Only had this happen to me once before, strangely as I was driving and lost all location and LTE services.
Demister tcam reset, wait a few minutes, then infotainment reset.
Then wait for LTE to reconnect.

My experience is always requiring an infotainment after tcam to restore full connectivity. Others experiences may vary

I had to do this again today after GPS location froze while driving in rain last night. This morning I did the demister hold then that doesn’t correct yet, and the infotainment reset next and was back to normal after few minutes. I’m on 2.4.

Friday night I was waiting to pickup the OH, everything was fine and I was watching YouTube. Then the video stopped, looked like it was buffering but all signal had been lost; even the dash was reporting "no GPS signal". Rebooted the infotainment and all came back fine. Weirdly could hear some fans so wonder if the screen/infotainment module had got a bit warm??

Had a similar issue today, phone wouldn't connect to car, app wouldn't work all at a similar time to your issues .
So used the sport key to open and close the car while cleaning it. Two hour's later, everything back to normal.
My feeling is it was nothing to do with the car/TCAM, more an issue with the backend server connections
This ^^^ Most of the time it isn't, it just seems popular by many to attribute it to it whilst ignoring there are so many other factors entirely out of control of Polestar or unrelated to the TCAM module involved in communications.

This happened to us in early March 23. I emailed Polestar Vancouver and their technical support guy Luke came to our house. Turned out to be a software glitch that does not cause the small removable battery for the car internet/cellular network connection to properly charge (the car communicates to the internet through the antenna on the roof). This small rectangular battery (about the size of a sharpy pen) lives somewhere inside near the charging port. He took 40 minutes to wipe the software on the car, reload updated software, & install new battery. Working again. There is an icon on the screen top left when the car is connected (a sideways triangle I think). It becomes not a solid white triangle when the car is disconnected.

Hopefully I have conveyed the details correctly. If not, please let me know!

Same for me last Saturday, but I dont think the car actually loses LTE fully, the reason I say this is because while driving without Maps the speed indicator for the road kept changing and it knew when I was driving past a school... How would it know this if no data or Maps as indicated on the big screen??

Spent three hours resetting and getting frustrated on Saturday night to no avail, Got in it on Sunday and all back to normal - BTW this hopefully isn't normal operation, only had the car for two weeks from new.

After trying all the usual methods, I followed this thread today. Connected again
