Hi all. This past Tuesday my CarPlay went stupid on me. In the morning all was fine. When I got back in the car for the afternoon commute home, I plugged my iPhone in as usual, the tile where the CarPlay lives recognized that my phone was plugged in. I tapped on the CarPlay icon in the tile on center screen to open CarPlay and the screen was black. Nothing. So I unplugged the phone, plugged it back in and same. Black center screen. I thought, oh crap, here we go. I rebooted the infotainment screen by holding the home button till it started the reboot. I turned my phone off and on. Still the same. So everyday when I got it the car I'd plug the phone in and hoped it would come back just as mysteriously as it went away but, nope, still nothing. So finally this afternoon while sitting in the garage after navigating the hells scape that is the DC afternoon commute I decided to hold the home button down again and reboot the infotainment screen while my phone is plugged in and voilà, all is back to normal. YAAAAAAAY!!!!!
So if this happens to anyone else, you have a way fix it.
