I just got my new P* today and I'm getting this as well. I just wanted to install YouTube Music, it downloaded and installed on my wife's profile but with mine it seems to be hanging. Absolutely love the car though!

Hi all - 4 days in as a P* owner and loving it. Still trying to find my way around things but in terms of the basics, no issues.

However, when trying to downloan any apps from Google Play, all I get is 'Pending...' and the white circle. The car just doesn't want to download and install anything.

Has anyone else experienced this? Any help would be most appreciated!

 

Just a quick update here if anyone else is having this issue. I contact P* tech supp, and they informed me that they are awar eof this issue reported by a few others as well. They said that it always seems to be with the YouTube Music app so they have escalated it to Google as well and they are investigating. The guy wasn't able to give me any timelines other than to reassure me that techs are aware of this being a 'thing' now at least.

 

Ah, I saw this other day - long story, new phone, new driver profile and then no Spotify!!! Tried downloading, Pending... Have too much going on outside of the P* to worry so moved on, but at least I now know it is not related to my car and is another central issue, sigh...

 

Interesting - I have this same problem now. I made a new profile trying to see if the PAK would work and now YTM won't complete installing - just grinding away on "Pending" status. This has gone on for a couple of days now. Canceling and then trying again, changing profiles, rebooting infotainment, even one TCAM reset (doubtful that would help), but still the same problem. I thought about doing a full factory reset and then set everything back up again, but that's a last resort. I'll let CS know that I'm having this issue also.

 

Same problem, all apps installable, except YM ... "pending" 😞 ... no solutions offered but "we're looking into this issue" .. 😕

 

So I bailed and did a factory reset on Saturday afternoon. Set everything back up from scratch and all worked just fine - it took me about 30 minutes to set everything back up the way I wanted it. Even PAK worked on the first try. Not sure how long that will last (beta!), but I don't really trust it anyway. I'm pretty sure I'll always carry a key with me. It's nice to have YTM back again - I'm a Google Play Music refugee and YTM is all I have left now.

 

I went for my first drive for a week yesterday with my 15 year old son, who would not be happy with my music so thought I would see if Spotify would download and yep, all good. Although I did have to cancel the download and start a new one to get it out of the pending state.

 

I have just been setting up my new P* and appeared to have the same problem with all the apps. I installed a bunch of apps as the owner profile but then went on and setup other profiles with the same apps but these are all blocked pending. However, just having been thru the profiles I have discovered that if I login to each profile in the order I set up that apps, i.e. owner first, and let the installs complete in each profile, it all works thru.

Same problem even today! Just got my Polestar a few days ago and got stuck on pending... However I got it working. Here's what I did. I added another profile to the account (wife + me) i clicked download and got stuck on pending as usual on the new profile. I canceled and tried again over and over. Then it just randomly installed ytm. Then it fixed Spotify. Then I went back to the other profile and ytm and Spotify suddenly downloaded. No idea if it was a fluke but that's what I did and it worked. So no need to factory reset, just keep pressing cancel at the pending stage and try over and over. Maybe adding a new polestar profile had something to do with it, maybe not...
