Guernica by Picasso is also horribly pixelated. I'm sure anyone on Fiverr could do it nice and sharp using Adobe Illustrator or Affinity Designer.

Seriously guys/girls if you want fake perfection then you should go for Lexus, or other taste and characterless brands.
Lol are you actually comparing a pixellated sticker from a car company to Picasso?

"Fake perfection" is not my level of expectation. I'm looking for quality execution and attention to detail. And for a brand that goes so far as to include a style guide with fonts, Pantones, and CMYK values in their vehicle promo book, I expect more than a thrown together sticker. As someone who works in this industry, I assure you a pixellated sticker is closer to Fiver than Guernica. This is clearly sloppy oversight and not some considered stroke of creative genius.

I love my Polestar and the design aesthetic is one of the things that drew my to it. That's also why I expect better than that sticker.

I am curious to compare with the stickers that come with MY2023 vehicles. I should’ve looked closer at the ones I’ve seen around. Will do.

My Commodore 64 wants its screen font back. That's horrible!

The first generation were the best, here's a pic of the 2017 upgrade badge, currently on my Volvo:

It was called the Blue Pill, not that I would understand that reference.

I agree that the pixelated font is not great, but it is not noticeable at regular viewing distances.
True but for all the talk about being design oriented and the effort put into the typography within the car this is sort of a joke. Someone did not do their job and proof what they were sending out. My guess is this was a simple mistake when someone accidentally uploaded the wrong image and no one cared to verify.

Yes this is minor and insignificant but It’s the little details, like actually testing OTAs, that they keep stumbling on. Details do matter because it makes you wonder what else are the so-so about. It’s a corporate culture issue.

I'll only agree with the observation that the pixellation is much more apparent in the expanded photo than it is from a couple of meters away where most people will see it. Still...

I posted on the other thread. I'm probably going to leave mine off. If you look close, it's not a great print job. Pixellated font, looks like they churned them out at 150dpi on a cheap laser printer.

Looking at the photo it’s obvious that the image was also rotated slightly. Look at the horizontal line, it creeps up twice as it goes from left to right. You can see it in the e’s too.

Currently playing around with this very interesting color translucent PETG filament. Might be another option for some sort of grille mark, presently printing off a couple interior shelf pieces. I welcome thoughts.

The one you would want (if this was your preferred logo) is the square one made for the S60.

I have one that I bought for my S60 that ended up being bigger than I had expected. I may cut this one down to the size of the PE grill badge and install there. I think the look of P+ has a better sound for the P2s with the performance tune.

This one would be a good alternative for the front grill too.

Or this..

Im not normally a fan of rebadging anything. Normally is a frowned upon modification/addition. But in the case where Polestars wording is so ambiguous, it’s kind of acceptable

Do we know the measurements of the PE badge they are putting on the grill?

Yeah. I put a digital caliper to mine. It’s in the thread a few replies back.

Just saw a white or magnesium with the sticker driving past me, it doesn’t look that bad with these colours.

I just think this is too funny...We want carplay, we want carplay, oh the implementation is crap...We'll use google...We want the power upgrade, we want the powerupgrade, oh the little sticker that I can or cannot apply to the front grill isn't perfectly sharp to my standards...

I can't wait to see the reactions when the matrix pixel headlights get activated for the US market :devilish: 😇 :ROFLMAO:

Yes pathetic isn't it... These people should have purchased the Performance pack in the first place...would have got the badge like it or not... And wouldn't have said a word about the badge not being of "perfect" quality or even noticed that it wasn't.

It's only noticeable really close up or after zooming in on photos. Once it is on the grill, even with my reading glasses on and squatting to be eye level with it, inches away, can not notice it at all, let alone if you are standing upright.

As the OP mentioned previously, I've been noticing some rude replies and comments in this forum lately. People are entitled to their opinions, and a bare modicum of understanding should allow us to see value in what other owners are saying. Let's keep it classy gentlemen.

Unfortunately, as with any public forum, some people believe that their voice is the only one that counts, and respond in that way, without realising many posts involve opinions that may relate to others perceptions.

It's why I have left many forums, discord groups, owners clubs etc over the years, you just get tired of seeing the same names making their point the loudest time and time again.

My opinion, the badge doesn't suit the car, but mainly as ruins the visual symmetry of the external appearance of the car. I have the same issue with many Alfas in the UK, beautiful cars, but add the licence plate and they become asymmetrical and less appearing visually to myself. I'm not wrong, it's my opinion, others may agree, but no one can, or should tell me I'm wrong for thinking that way.

Something like this, printed using the yellow color Polestar uses for the performance seatbelts could bea very cool and bold addition to the grill (or the tailgate

Even though the low-res quality of the sticker sounds like it's not too noticeable, to me the point is it comes across as cheap or missed attention to detail. Not a huge deal to me, but just an odd annoyance. Come on, get the easy stuff right. Mine is a Snow and I'm torn, I think it looks okay and less obtrusive on the lighter colored cars, but it still kinda jumps out as a little toothy on the grill. Just in pics I've seen; I haven't ordered my PU yet but will sooner or later.

I would like to see something a little less stark in contrast amid the grille cubes. Wonder what something like... a medium-dark gray would look like with white Polestar Engineered lettering but the line separating them as red. Would catch the eye to someone looking without demanding the eye to a passerby.

A thousand forum members, a thousand distinct opinions. I personally like the door stickers. At worst I think they're quirky and unobtrusive, but I think they're geeky-cool and suit the car. Anyway, I enjoy the conversations here and hope we maintain that vibe of being at a car show where you walk by a hundred vehicles modded or painted in ways you'd never have in your garage but can nod in respect to the dudes or gals who put in the work in their labors of love.

But if any of you unironically hang truck nuts from the back of your Polestars I will lose my sh*t.
