So, I got my new polestar 2 few days ago. Guy said the plugsurfing card gets you 50% off - yeah right! I was charged 8p over the flat rate for osprey (87p per KWH)

As far as I'm aware, the Plugsurfing card only provides discount on Ionity charges. Use it on any other network, you'll be charged their full rate.

Polestar and IONITY

I did have to contact Plugsurfing directly to have them register the Polestar card (called a Charging key in their app under 'My account') because the option to add it manually did not work. But they added it for me quite quickly, and it definitely provided the discount rate at Ionity. I do my best to avoid other public fast chargers because I don't fancy selling my organs to pay their prices.

Raging won't change or help with anything. It clearly states the price in the Plugsurfing app if you are concerned about price. ;) Furthermore, Polestar clearly markets it in partnership with IONITY Polestar and IONITY, and it does provide an excellent deal.

Your mistake, your responsibility. LOL Raging over a theoretical maximum £6.24 difference ;) on an at least £45K car 🤷‍♂️

As an alternative well supported card for UK use the Octopus Energy Electroverse is pretty good as well. If you need to do a lot of public charging then a subscription could work out better.

Thanks for sharing this - I didn't realise it was something that existed. I feel like everything I've ever learnt about EV ownership in the UK has come from stumbling across information on this forum!

Typical... I was with Octopus at my previous house (they were fine, for what it's worth :ROFLMAO: ) and now it's throwing errors when I try and sign up for the Electroverse card as the address is 'wrong'!

Lets see if it arrives...
Good to know that Ionity is the only network that it's worth using Plugsurfing with. Milton Keynes and Stafford will be handy on trips back up north to Manchester!
