I have been begging them for BST for months, please don’t sit on the reservation if you know it’s a no-go.
Not sure if this was directed at me, but I'm going to wait till the absolute last minute to try to force a resolution so I can get the BST. I may have found an out, will have a family member take over my lease. Waiting on details for that process from VFS now 🤦

Releasing the reservation was only directed at anyone that knows they are not buying.
I am happy for anyone chosen for buying and hope they shred tires and enjoy the spirit of the beast.

Hello forum members
Just placed an order today for the Polestar 2 BST 270 snow with stripe (got lucky) and I'm a little anxious.
Short story why...

Currently we have a 2017 Audi s3 and a 2016 Volvo XC90T8 .
Future cars dilemma for the car to keep, (we only need 2) and usually we swap cars between us for driving pleasure on working days.
In December we will go to Sweden to pick up the new 2023 XC90T8 Recharge ,this is a done deal.(need 7 seats for visitors)
I have placed an order for Lucid Pure (old price at $77k) , a different car than Polestar 2.(drove them both different trims ,The Lucid was GT trim and the Polestar the dual motor trim)
I like the Polestar 2 size more, my wife wants the Lucid and she doesn't like the stripes on Polestar 2.
My idea is to take the Polestar 2 (reason for placing order) and push the delivery date as far as I can for Lucid Pure to enjoy the BST.
Hopefully the suspension of BST it's fine for the bad roads around Los Angeles and I don't need to sell it for a while.(My wife will not like to be too harsh, she's used to Audi s3 as well and that one it's not soft either)
Forget to add that I have an order for a BMW I4M50 from mid April this year. I don't know the delivery time .In case anyone wants that car please DM.(I don't ask for any money) ,most likely will cancel the order to get my deposit back.
If anyone will be interest on my old cars please DM as well for details. (I'm a single owner and both of them are pay off) before trade them in.
Thanks
M

I was at Cars & Coffee in San Clemente, CA this morning and got to see this BST in the metal and sit in her. Dimitri, who is the GM of the South Coast Space, gave me a heads up that the car would be there, so I made the drive down. Car had been delivered the night before to Anthony, who works for Polestar corporate. He said he would only have the car for less than 24 hours, as immediately following the event it was heading out to get the matte racing stripe installed and then off for a press tour. Auto journalists will be driving this exact vehicle and we should start seeing more articles on the BST in the next 3-4 weeks. I'm looking forward to that, as there has been a lack of new information for the past three months.
I had a chance to speak at length with Dimitri and Anthony about the BST and will be happy to share tomorrow. Wife needs me to walk the dog and get ready for dinner. More to follow...

Need to wait for mine for end of Dec or January for delivery, as this one is for marketing as LBJeff said, my understand from today is this car is not for sale and next stop will be at MotorTrend.

Congratulations, I was probably begging for that exact one. Looks great!

..about LA roads, yes probably too stiff at default 8 so request the suspension softer. Even on the 405 South right before 90 in one of the middle-right lanes the car tensions the seatbelt thinking it’s an accident happening. All of the horizontal lines in the road are pretty stiff too. Smooth sweeping roads are where everything falls into place for the Polestar 2.

I asked and got told you could use the performance package winter tires... Though I'd hate to have to swap those pretty 21s for the 20s of the performance package. Even though those PPs are pretty as well, it kinda ruins the BST experience. I was hoping it'd be possible to put some Pirelli P winter tires on the 21" wheels, but I can't seem to find a winter version of the 245/35R21.

I had the same idea to use the 21" rims for both summer and winter tires. But had a talk with polestar yesterday when i went to see the BST on show in Copenhagen and they highly recommend not to do that. The structure of the tire will not like being put on/off twice a year which over a couple of seasons (lets hope those pirelli's last that long as they will be expensive to replace) will end up ruining the tires. They suggest the normal performance rims, however with my car being all white and black (no strip though) i am not sure the metallic look on those will be great. So i am more looking into black 20" aftermarket solutions with wintertires on. That should also be a cheaper solution than the polestar 20" performance wheels.

I just ordered the Michelin Pilot Alpin 5. I’ll be swapping them every year on the 21’s, now this comment about « swapping is bad for the tire » is a bit scary

It's fine. Realistically, you'd probably get 3 seasons (3 swaps) out of them before you need something new.
