I was offered the same 3 units and the rep said 10 allocated for Canada.
That makes me want to commit even more. I wonder what the resale market would look like if I flip it. I'm a long range commuter, my current 2021 Launch edition P2 makes way more sense for me on paper but I haven't ever had access to something this exclusive. Also I am privileged that my employer has rewarded me for a very profitable year.

Just got an email response from Elleighs this morning:
Thank you for your email inquiry. Emails are set to be released as early as next week. Directions for submitting the deposits for the Polestar 2 BST edition 270 will be included.

If you do not her from someone or receive an email within the next 30 days, please contact Customer Support @ 1800.806.2504. You may also respond to this email for assistance.

Kind Regards,
Elleighs

More of the same, it seems...you'll hear from us in the next week, but give us a month if we don't actually follow through, haha.
I haven't heard from Elleighs for two days after I replied that I would like to proceed. I guess I shouldn't be too concerned. She did provide a phone number and her office hours. 😅

Well this totally sucks!! Anyway after e-mailing directly back and forth with a Polestar representative I have realized that in no way was my choice secured for me. After requesting to proceed with a very specific version of three BST270 models available they have let me know it is no longer available. Only a Gunship Grey Wrap "no stripe" version remains. I was after the Thunder with stripe. Anyway I wasn't expecting a musical chairs type situation when it comes to the ordering process. I'll be buying the 21" "Matte" wheels off VIVA now and lowering my car with the springs I already have. Once the software is released I will essentially have the car that I am after. I was a little concerned about the extra painted body work on the BST270, looks like a good candidate for stone chips.

That definitely sucks. I feel bad for you. I know when they contacted me, I ended up calling them directly as I was worried email may be problematic. They did advise me at the time that I had 24 hours to place my deposit or I would lose my place. In any case, I'm sure your lowered P2 with 21" wheels will look awesome.

The GM at my Space checked with the head of sales in North America on delivery estimates and was only guaranteed that everyone (assuming worldwide) will have their BSTs by February. For North America, deliveries could happen as early as mid-December to end of month. So...nothing really new to report here, haha.

I'm a little frustrated that the performance upgrade was part of the exclusive BST edition, and now it is available to everyone. Does this still make the BST worth it? I wonder if there are going to be any changes applied to the BST that will set it apart?

That's not news, nor was it unique to the BST. If you had ordered any 2023 with the Performance Pack, then you got the performance/power upgrade.

Thanks for clarifying... I didn't realize everyone with a P2 PP were waiting for it. For some reason I thought it was exclusive to the BST... My bad ;)
All of the 2023 Performance Package models ship with the power increase. Polestar just made the power increase available to all previous model year vehicles (PP and non-PP) and all non-PP 2023s.

I'm disappointed that our power upgrade is also available outside of the BST realm, but Anthony, the guy from Polestar corporate whom I met at Cars and Coffee recently (and had the white BST for 24 hours), intimated that the BST has unique throttle tuning and calibration of the propulsion system. I don't know/remember if that applied to all 2023 performance pack cars, or the calibration was unique to the BST. The one thing he and the auto journalist who recently tested the car in San Francisco were adamant about was the handling prowess of the BST. Aside from the Porsche Taycan, the BST should be the next best driver's EV that focuses on enjoyment and engagement. Straight line acceleration is not uncommon in EVs these days, but hardly anyone places an emphasis on handling and making them fun to drive. I'm a certified car nut and enjoy driving, so this will be my first non sports car and first four door. It was paramount for me to find something that would get me excited to drive it each day and I'm hoping the BST will fit the bill. Getting excited for delivery in the near future, I hope.

Just checked the Polestar portal and there was new information available under the "Orders" tab. When clicking on continue under the Orders tab the website took me to a new page that had me confirm my order, options, payment method, showed the total amount due minus my deposit, and asked if I had a car to trade in. After confirming everything, the system tells me to expect delivery on January 11th. That's later than I was expecting, but maybe it's a worse case scenario. Seems like other folks on the forum get their deliveries a bit earlier than the system shows.
I did not see an option to select leasing the vehicle and it only allowed me to select "cash purchase." Without the federal tax credit, there is a bit less incentive to purchase. I typically lease my cars, as it affords me more flexibility to exit them early since I'm less likely to be upside down on them versus a purchase. If leasing is an option on the BST I believe I'd like to explore that avenue. It has been a long time since I kept a car beyond two years and EVs are progressing so quickly, so I'd like the flexibility leasing affords me. I guess we'll see if the option exists as we get closer to putting pen to paper and handing over our cash.

My SA said that there should be a lease option but numbers are not out yet
