The trunk's load floor is my only real gripe. I think it was a mistake for them to opt for the XC40/C40 style load floor over the Polestar 2/Other Volvo type load floor.
thanks! re cargo space, is that a standard small carry-on type suitcase in there? If so looks plenty deep and much more than the specs seems to indicate.
Can def fit a bunch of banana boxes

re rear bench, assuming that's you back there, how spacious was it do you think? could three small-to-normal sized adults sit back there decently comfortably?

Yep, that was a smaller type carry-on roller bag. The trunk, to me, didn't seem all that much bigger than the P2's trunk.

That is me sitting back there. There was plenty of space back there. If I were to guess, I'd say the bench overall is a couple inches wider than the P2's. The center section is wider, and received the drop down armrest and cupholder setup taken directly off the V90.

The only potential negative about the rear seats is that they pushed them back (good), but to maintain head room under the sloping rear roof line, they lowered the seats. Lowing the seats means your knees are up and there's minimal thigh support. You can see that in the picture of me sitting in it. That's not generally a comfortable way to sit for prolonged periods.

Oh no :( I hate that stick on tablet look. That doesn't look integrated and premium to me at all. It looks like they've removed the binnacle and centre dash and were like oh shit we need to provide some information and who can provide a cheat android tablet...Yuk 🤮

It's definitely an aesthetic preference. I like it over building up the dash, simply to house the display.

Otherwise, the screen size is really good, I just do not understand the continued use of bezels. In a world where phones and iPads have done away with them, it just looks weird to me to still see them here, in a car, where they make even less sense, since you're not holding the display.

Makes it look bigger than it is ;) I remember the days where dimensions of my 43" plasma were actually bigger than the 55" oled...It is the cheap visual trick, not fitting for the market segment it pretends to be in....

Thanks for the pics! A few questions:
  • There seem to be two stalks still, are turn indicators etc. still operable with these? At least the right hand side one seems to have RND control?
  • Are there some functions still on the steering wheel itself?
  • I don't see many controls on the doors, have window / door lock controls moved to the tablet?

Overall I really like the interior!

The stated cargo dimensions of 40x43” seems a bit bigger than the P2’s and it looks taller. I expect there a good sized undertrunk?
while I would’ve liked more space a la the Model X, for a 5 seater it seems fine?

Good question on the stalks. I didn't look closely at those and I don't think I have any good pictures of them. I do have a video I'll look back at to see if it's more obvious there.

There are still window and lock controls on the doors, and either they're capacitive, or it was because these were pre-production units and they just had "filler" controls.

The trunk also appeared to have capacitive buttons for dropping the rear seats, tow hook, etc.

The space below the load floors weren't accessible, but I was quoted an amount that I'm now blanking on.

The only thing I don't like as much is de driver display, I prefer the more traditional sweeping dashboard with the driver display integrated over this tiny I forgot to put my screen somewhere display.

Not as bothered by the 'stick-on' tablet as I am in the Tesla.

Ok, one more thing I don't like so much:

Seems they've moved both the drive selector & pilot assist to a stalk. I've never liked this behind the wheel where I can't see it. I hate cars that have the cruise control on some stalk where I can never see what I'm doing. I want it on the wheel and drive selector is fine in the middle.
