These are the photo Polestar released of the P3's interior!
This interior is Zinc Nappa leather and Black Ash deco
I quite like the gear stalk. Had it on a couple mercedes and tesla, works well IMOI really, really hate this. MB uses it and I'm annoyed every time I drive one. If nothing else it could be a dial on the console or somewhere. Or the old "select-o-matic" push buttons.
It’s still illuminated. It’s barely visible when the car’s off, since you can make out the etched area where the side-fired lighting catches the glass. But when the car’s on it’s fully illuminated as before.I mentioned this elsewhere, but since there's this dedicated interior thread, I'll add it here. One thing I noticed, and maybe it will be different on the production vehicles, was that the Polestar logo on the panoramic roof is no longer illuminated. It's just etched onto the glass. It might be a small thing, but that was a pretty cool little design detail on the P2, and one that EVERY passenger has commented on. It would be a shame to see it not fully carried forward.

The panel is comprised of 5x buttons–2x seat releases, towbar, and air suspension up/downThey had a space there for buttons. It's sized similarly to our V90, so it should have room for seat release and tow ball release. The ones at the unveiling were either showing that those buttons would be capacitive, like the others in the car, or it was just a piano black space filler.

Having owned 911’s for years I was surprised that there‘s no remote opening for the Polestar frunk. Sure the Porsche doesn't have a boot / trunk but it seems a miss to me.Not unusual to see little things like that drop out ... I'm reminded of the old story of Toyota saving a bunch of cash on the Corolla by removing some interior decals and the chrome "dome" on the aerial for some models.
It was why I was surprised to see the folding interior cover in the frunk ... it looks nice but seems like a bit of a "luxury" ... I'm not sure how others use their trunks but in the Polestar (and in my old Model S) the frunk is/was mainly used for charging cables, first-aid-kit and other stuff that is rarely needed. I know some people use if for shopping bags, but even with the Tesla's push-button frunk lid, it always seemed more awkward to use the frunk than either the boot or indeed just the rear-seat footwell ... and that's even more teh case with the Polestar's frankly excellent automated "boot lid kick operation" ¯\(ツ)/¯
@nbvolks did Polestar make any mention of why they had put the folding cover in the frunk?? And is the frunk still a manual release ??
I think the only way to make this safely would have been to have some type of interlock that required some gymnastics and was locked out if the car was in motion. To do that would have been very expensive.Having owned 911’s for years I was surprised that there‘s no remote opening for the Polestar frunk. Side fired lighting from where? When I looked at it in person there was no lighting present, or even possible from the edge of the headliner. And I could touch it with my hand to feel it was just etched there. This is different from the Polestar 2 where it's projected onto the glass. It’s still illuminated. Wish Polestar had the option of the reconstructed wood from the 21-22 Barley interior P2s on the P3. I love the look of that trim, and would have worked even better on the more mature P3Volvo teased the interior of the EX90. Some similarities to the interior of the Polestar 3. Different (warmer) colors. I don't think the dip down element would work that well behind the center screen in the Polestar.

Yeah I don't buy the safety nonsense from them, seems like something they overlooked. Porsches, Teslas all have remote frunk openingHaving owned 911’s for years I was surprised that there‘s no remote opening for the Polestar frunk. Interested in this as well, Polestar did mention somewhere (I think) that the logo would be illuminated. But can't see how they will do it without the protrusion for the projector. Anything is possible to be made safely. It's just how much you want to pay for it...especially for access to such a small space.Yeah I don't buy the safety nonsense from them, seems like something they overlooked. Porsches, Teslas all have remote frunk opening
I'd like to see the wool seats cross over to Polestar!Wish Polestar had the option of the reconstructed wood from the 21-22 Barley interior P2s on the P3. I love the look of that trim, and would have worked even better on the more mature P3
I think P3 is available with Wool but its boring black. Should have offered the grey like in Volvos. They probably want everyone to upgrade to napa hahaI'd like to see the wool seats cross over to Polestar!
I just walk up to my 911 and wave my hand in front of the frunk, bingo it’s open. Still need to do the secondary catch so no safety issue at all.I think the only way to make this safely would have been to have some type of interlock that required some gymnastics and was locked out if the car was in motion. Yes, but that's from the outside. And to think, PS can't even get enough chips to activate that for the trunk, much less creating the same for the tiny frunk.I just walk up to my 911 and wave my hand in front of the frunk, bingo it’s open. according to my delivery guy this week all ‘23 cars have the trunk foot opening fitted. They didn’t even try to install any external opening for the frunk, regardless of chip availability. Like they don’t fit electric adjustment for the steering column with comfort access. Even after a couple of days with this car I’m surprised at how many things which are on similar priced cars are missing on the P2.Yes, but that's from the outside. I've probably had it less😆. I wouldn't pay a nickel for extra he to open it automatically.I've probably had it open 10 times during the last 15k miles....
This is a common refrain. Are the cars you're thinking of EVs with large expensive battery packs? You may think of the P2 as a luxury car because of it's price compared to other cars you've had. But it really isn't. Especially not in the EV world. And this is partly the media's fault. For instance, Tesla is considered the largest luxury brand out there today, when the 3 and Y are hardly luxury vehicles. Like the P2 they are just expensive because they are EVs.Even after a couple of days with this car I’m surprised at how many things which are on similar priced cars are missing on the P2.
Because it doesnt share the same interior space as passengers, in effect it’s outside the car, its great for storing take-out meals for example, No odours left behind. Also great for storing liquids with zero chance of them spilling into the boot/trunk space, for this reason my ‘other‘ car has a fitted liner in the frunk. What do you all do with your frunk? It's tiny. I've just got some level 2 cables, the schuco cable and emergency kit. No room for anything else. I've probably had it open 10 times during the last 15k miles....
I agree with that. At our place in New Hampshire we have to take our own trash to the transfer station (dump). So it's pretty nice to be able to put that up front so it doesn't stink up the car. It's even better when we're heading home on a day when the transfer station is closed, because then the trash is sitting up there for the 2.5 hour ride home and not in the trunk!Because it doesnt share the same interior space as passengers, in effect it’s outside the car, its great for storing take-out meals for example, No odours left behind. I guess if you’ve never had this you wouldn’t miss it but if you have….
I've never had take out orders linger for more than a couple of hours. And as for liquids, I wouldn't want them to spill up there either. The curry hook is the best place for that type of stuff.Because it doesnt share the same interior space as passengers, in effect it’s outside the car, its great for storing take-out meals for example, No odours left behind. Positioning is very much in Polestar's control and if they really want to compete with ICE vehicles price is important. There are plenty of cheaper EV's out there to choose some with just as good a range as the P2. I'm not saying it doesn't have it's good points but small things matter in the new car market. This is a common refrain. Are the cars you're thinking of EVs with large expensive battery packs? Positioning is absolutely in their control, and so is price. So they have to make decisions on price versus features in the hope that they'll sell as many cars as possible. I would contend that they've done a pretty good job because despite not having this feature you bought the car 😉Positioning is very much in Polestar's control and if they really want to compete with ICE vehicles price is important.
