So I dropped off our Polestar 3 almost 2 weeks ago as it would not charge on my level 2 charger at home. However, when I went to the Tesla Supercharger and used the adaptor it worked fine.

Dealer told me it was the onboard charging port or something. Of course it’s not in stock, back ordered with no ETA. Our car has been In the shop almost 4 months on multiple visits and we picked it up the beginning of December. Has anyone else had this issue?

Yes, it's an unfortunately common issue. Some of us are dealing with it for a second time, because the first round of replacement onboard chargers were also substandard and are now starting to fail.(BTW, Polestar/Volvo refers to them by the acronym GHCA)

And yeah, mine is in the shop right now for its second replacement and like you, that part is on backorder with no fulfillment date in the system.

Well this is depressing to read. I am taking mine in to Volvo tomorrow for the first time. It has failed on a home level 1 charger as well as a Powerflex fast charger. I will take to the Tesla charger this afternoon noon in the hopes that there is some way to drive if the part is backordered. I guess I can take some refuge in the fact that the California Lemon Law kicks in after a month... :)

I have had 4 yes 4 GHCA replacements. Ive got to the stage where i dont see any point in changing it again until they have a new part number. I get a sympthestic repsonce from UK Customer support which hopefully means that they will have a new part and hence one that works for more than 2 weeks (which is the current standard). But its been 8 days since i spoke to them with no responce Still staggers me that as an 80 grand car , id be better off with somthing half the price and allot less hassle.
