Pre-Repair Diagnostics Report

My P2 is in for body shop repairs to sort a tailgate scratch (went through all of the paint layers to the right of the emblem). Damage wasn't caused by a collision. Car has been driving fine without any errors, or other issues with ACC etc. The pre-repair VIDA diagnostics report ordered by the body shop was surprising though.

Here is what the technician found before any repair work was carried out:

Recommendation: (Polestar - U2C7292) - Active Safety Domain Master (ASDM) - This DTC set due to invalid data received from another control module. Perform all other control module recommendations and no further action is required for this DTC.

Brake Control Module 2 (BCM2)
C10D092 - Master Cylinder Piston Position Indeterminable. Component Failures. Performance or incorrect operation

Recommendation: (Polestar - C10D092) - Brake Control Module - This DTC set due to Excessive Master Cylinder Piston Travel. Inspect all braking hydraulic components, including brake master cylinder, ABS module, brake lines, and calipers for leaks or relevant damage and repair or replace as required. Fill brake fluid reservoir to full level. If a leaking component is replaced, a bleeding brakes procedure may be required upon completion of the repair. If the ABS module is replaced, programming will be required.

Central Electronics Module (CEM)
B171F86 - Bluetooth Low Energy Transceiver Rear Bumper Center. Bus Signal / Message Failures. Signal invalid

Recommendation: (Polestar - B171F86) - Phone As Key Module (PAKM) - This DTC set due to a reported malfunction with the Rear Center Bluetooth Antenna for the Phone As Key Module (PAKM). Verify the system is functioning by operating the Phone As Key Module. If operable, inspect for relevant damage. If inoperable, visually inspect the Rear Center Bluetooth Antenna, connector, and wiring harness for relevant damage, repair or replace as required.

B172286 - Angle of Arrival Sensor Rear Bumper Left. Bus Signal / Message Failures. Signal invalid

Recommendation: (Polestar - B172286) - Angle of Arrival Sensor - This DTC is set due to a reported malfunction in the Angle of Arrival Sensor Rear Bumper Left. This sensor is associated with the Phone As Key Module. Verify the system is functioning by operating the Phone As Key Module. If operable, inspect for relevant damage. If inoperable, visually inspect the Angle of Arrival Sensor, connector and wiring harness for relevant damage, repair or replace as required.

B172486 - Angle of Arrival Sensor Front Bumper Left. Bus Signal / Message Failures. Signal invalid

Recommendation: (Polestar - B172486) - Angle of Arrival Sensor - This DTC is set due to a reported malfunction in the Angle of Arrival Sensor Front Bumper Left. This sensor is associated with the Phone As Key Module. Verify the system is operation by operating the Phone As Key Module. If operable, inspect for relevant damage. If inoperable, visually
inspect the Angle of Arrival sensor, connectors and wiring harness for and relevant damage. Repair or replace as required.

Climate Control Module (CCM)
B10B377 - Front Right Temperature Damper Motor. Mechanical Failures. Commanded position not reachable

Recommendation: (Polestar - B10B377) - Air Conditioning - This DTC set due to a reported malfunction with the right front temperature damper motor. Verify proper operation of temperature switches from cool to hot by operating the air conditioning controls. If operating, no further actions required. If not operable, visually inspect Air conditioning related wiring, connectors and servo motors for damage and repair or replace as required.

Forward Looking Radar (FLR)
C105F86 - Radar Sensor. Bus Signal / Message Failures. Signal invalid

Recommendation: (Polestar - C105F86) - Forward Radar Sensor - This DTC set is due to a reported malfunction in the Forward Radar Sensor. Inspect the Forward Radar Sensor, mounting surface/bracket, harness, and connectors for damage and repair or replace as required. If the Forward Radar Sensor is removed a calibration is required. If Forward Radar Sensor is replaced programming is required.

Headlamp Control Module Left (HCML)
U230056 - Central Configuration. System Programming Failures. Invalid / incompatible configuration

Recommendation: (Polestar - U230056) - Headlamp Control Module Left - This DTC was set due to a reported communication error in the Headlamp Control Module Left (HCML). Verify Left Headlamp Control Module operates by function testing all available lighting features using the lighting control switches. If operable, Visually inspect for relevant damage. If inoperable, Visually inspect Left Headlamp Assembly, wiring, connectors and modules for damage, repair or replace as required. If Headlamp Control Module is replaced, programming will be required after repairs are complete.

Infotainment Head Unit (IHU)
B125200 - USB Port

Recommendation: (Polestar - B125200) - Infotainment Head Unit - This DTC set due to a reported malfunction in the Infotainment Head Unit USB port(s). Verify Infotainment Head Unit operation, including USB and Bluetooth functions. If operable, inspect for relevant collision damage. If inoperable, inspect the Infotainment Head Unit, connectors and wiring
harnesses for relevant collision damage, repair or replace as required. If Infotainment Head Unit is replaced, programming is required after vehicle repairs are completed.

On-Board Charging Module (OBC)
P0D9800 - Battery Charger Coupler Unlock Control Circuit Performance.

Recommendation: (Polestar - P0D9800) - Hybrid System - This DTC is set due to a reported malfunction with the Hybrid System Battery Charger Coupler. If the engine does not have an overheat or fluid leak concern(s), start the vehicle and verify that there is not a Hybrid System service message displayed on the Instrument Cluster. Test Charging Coupler for proper operation and charging speed/status. If operating as designed, inspect for relevant collision damage. If a Hybrid System service message is displayed or Charging Coupler has a warning status or charge speed is slow, inspect the Hybrid System Battery Charger Coupler, Hybrid Battery, Battery Management System Control Module, Hybrid Control Unit, connectors, and all Hybrid System High Voltage wiring (identified by orange wire covering) for collision-related damage and repair or replace as required. Follow all manufacturer repair procedures and adhere to all safety protocols when working on the hybrid system. Initialization and/or calibrations may be required if parts are replaced after all repairs are complete.

P125A68 - Battery
Charger-DC Charging, Failed CCS Charging. Algorithm Based Failures. Event information

Recommendation: (Polestar - P125A68) - On Board Charging Module - This DTC set due to a reported malfunction in the On Board Charging Module. Verify operation of On Board Charging Module by connecting a high voltage battery charger to the charging socket and confirming charging status in the instrument cluster. If vehicle does not charge, inspect charging socket and related control modules/harnesses for malfunction related damage. Repair or replace as required. If the On Board Charging Module is replaced, programming will be required after vehicle repairs are completed.

Power Steering Control Module (PSCM)
U111B87 - Interrupted Communication with Steering Angle Sensor (SAS). Bus Signal / Message Failures. Missing message

Recommendation: (Polestar - U111B87) - Power Steering Control Module - This DTC is set due to a reported interrupted communication in the Steering Angle Sensor (SAS). Verify power steering operation by starting the vehicle and verify the ability to turn the steering wheel left and right with ease as designed. If operable, no further action required. If inoperable, visually inspect Power Steering Control Module, related wiring, connectors and components for damage and repair or replace as required.

U112B87 - Interrupted Communication with Central Electronic Module (CEM). Bus Signal / Message Failures. Missing message

Recommendation: (Polestar - U112B87) - Power Steering Control Module - This DTC is set due to a reported interrupted communication in the Central Electronic Module. Verify power steering operation by starting the vehicle and verify the ability to turn the steering wheel left and right with ease as designed. If operable, no further action required. If inoperable, visually inspect Power Steering Control Module, related wiring, connectors and components for damage and repair or replace as required.

Steering Angle Sensor (SAS)
U2C3681 - Invalid signal received from another control Bus Signal / Message Failures. Invalid serial data received

Recommendation: (Polestar - U2C3681) - Steering Angle Sensor - This DTC set due to a reported loss of communication with Steering Angle Sensor. Inspect clock spring, wiring, connectors, steering and suspension components for collision related damage and repair or replace as required. Perform four-wheel alignment as required. If Steering Angle
Position Sensor is replaced, programming will be required after vehicle repairs are completed.

Vehicle Computational Unit 1 (VCU1)
P12A268 - A/C Refrigerant Shut Off Valve Water Cooled Condenser Circuit Range/Performance. Algorithm Based Failures. Event information

Recommendation: (Polestar - P12A268) - HVAC - This DTC set due to a reported malfunction in the A/C Refrigerant Shut Off Valve Outer Heat Exchanger. Verify air conditioning operates by function testing available climate control functions. If operable, visually inspect for relevant collision damage. If inoperable, visually inspect A/C compressor, water cooled condenser valve block and A/C lines for damage and repair or replace as required. If A/C components are replaced A/C refrigerant recharge will be required after vehicle repairs are completed.

P12AA68 - A/C Refrigerant Shut Off Valve Outer Heat Exchanger to Compressor Circuit Range/Performance. Algorithm Based Failures. Event information

Recommendation: (Polestar - P12AA68) - HVAC - This DTC set due to a reported malfunction in the A/C Refrigerant Shut Off Valve Outer Heat Exchanger. Verify air conditioning operates by function testing available climate control functions. If operable, visually inspect for relevant collision damage. If inoperable, visually inspect A/C compressor, condenser and A/C lines for damage and repair or replace as required. If A/C components are replaced A/C refrigerant
recharge will be required after vehicle repairs are completed.

P12AE72 - A/C Refrigerant Check Valve Outer Heat Exchanger. Mechanical Failures. Actuator stuck open

Recommendation: (Polestar - P12AE72) - HVAC - This DTC set due to a reported malfunction in the A/C Refrigerant Shut Off Valve Outer Heat Exchanger. Verify air conditioning operates by function testing available climate control functions. If operable, visually inspect for relevant collision damage. If inoperable, visually inspect A/C compressor, condenser, orifice tube valve and A/C lines for damage and repair or replace as required. If A/C components are replaced A/C refrigerant recharge will be required after vehicle repairs are completed.

Vehicle Gateway Module (VGM)
U105E00 - IHU Not Connected On Ethernet
Recommendation: (Polestar - U105E00) - Vehicle Gateway Module - This DTC set due to a reported ethernet connection with the infotainment head unit. Inspect control module for relevant collision damage. Replace as required. If no customer driven concerns are present, no further actions required.
