Reliability of Launch Edition

So, I have a deposit on a loaded Launch Edition. This car was apparently delivered to the dealer this year, so it is not necessarily one of the earlier units - but maybe they held some stock in China for months?

In any case, great price, but I'm just a little concerned over potential Launch vs US issues. I know that there are little differences like lack of active noise reduction and I may have issues with my Fastrak transponder, but has the reliability on the Launch editions been noticeably worse than the US editions lately?

The China build Launch Edition and the US cars are exactly the same. The only difference is the ANC mics in the wheel wells. Other than that, hardware is all the same.
Thank you. I'm familiar with the spec differences (and you missed the difference in the windshields), I was referring more to the quality of the manufacturing. I've seen reports, for instance, that the door or front window seals may generate more wind noise. Do they experience more functional faults than the US models? Is "wind noise" the only quality difference?

Some of it may be because the Launch editions were the first models to be built compared to the US models and so they suffer from "new model teething pains"? I'm not sure why this particular LE that I've put a deposit on was so recently delivered to the dealer - that may be because it was built later than the others? Or was it just remaining inventory that was eventually sent over?

I've taken delivery of an LE, so I'll get to experience all first hand. So far, so good (knocks on wood).

I've never been able to successfully execute a lane change, despite enabling it in the pilot settings. This may simply be something I haven't figured out yet.

I took delivery without a UWB key fob so I just have an older model key that basically acts as another key card. They've ordered a new UWB key fob and will deliver it to me later. For now I have to tap in/tap out (Samsung phone so no digital key yet).

Thanks! I ended up discovering the Samsung wallet key last night when I did a more thorough look through the options and it's been working pretty good so far (knock on wood). Maybe a little too good (double knocks on wood), every time I walk near the garage, my garage cam says there's motion.

My LE does not have the cutouts on the bottom. Another thread indicated that some LE do and some don't.

I tried the black dot area next to the mirror on the driver's side the other night and it wasn't read. I'll try the same area on the far side of the mirror next time I'm at a reader that indicates if the transponder was read (for instance I don't see a readout on the Golden Gate Bridge readers, but they are very visible on the Bay Bridge).

Look closer, you should see two lightly gridded areas. The LE windshields are not as reflective as the US built P3 windshields are, so they're not as obvious.
OK, I think I've found them. The rectangles are very easy to see with the naked eye on the 2025 windshields I've looked at, but there is no such immediately visible disturbance in the finish on the LE that I can see.

But, using a strong flashlight I was able to see a grid printed on the glass in roughly the area that I would have expected the transponder locations to appear on the 2025's. I can reach the area from my driving position to place the transponder there, but it would be hard to read and adjust the counter for the number of passengers at that location so I will have to see if I can just put it there as I approach the toll stations and if it stays put. Using it for the flex lanes for commuting might require some mild velcro as it would need to be there every half a mile or so as you pass under the flex meters.
