service and maintenance after 3 years for those 100 mile from a dealer?

I am interested in the PS2, but one great concern is what it will be like when I need work on the car as time goes by. I live about an hour (75 miles?) from a dealer/service center and wouldn't want to have to go down there every year or so. It sounds like for the first 3 years they'll come pick up the car within 100 miles, but I can't seem to find answers online about what happens after that? That is my only real concern about the car. Thanks for any advice!

While I can't answer as to what happens after year 3, I can say that living 75 miles (1.5 hours) from the service center has not been an issue. The one time that the car needed to go in (break pads sticking) they picked up the car on a flat bed and would have brought it back to me if needed. (I chose to go pick it up as an excuse to go shopping in the big city...) :)

I live 120 miles away from the Scottsdale Space. They cover 150 miles transport for 3 years. After 3 years I expect to have to pay the full fee. Or use an alternative, in my case AAA, if towing is necessary. My understanding is they are developing a mobile service same as Tesla, Rivian, Lucid. Business Insider recently reported that the Scottsdale Space has removed to a permanent spot and has mobile services. None of this was in place when my launch edition was delivered from LA a year ago.

Icesingh, you are correct that in the US, too, it doesn't need service in the first year, but I was more concerned with long term stuff when things break down such as the break pads in2insight mentions above. Good to hear that at least intially the process was smooth. I hope at some point they'll have service in 250k+ cities like the one I live in, but until then I'm concerned especially after that first 3 years.

Interestingly I contacted the Polestar dealer closest to me and the service advisor said the car would still be covered for valet service after 3 years and so they'd still pick it up for me even after that. If I knew for sure that this was true and that I wouldn't have to pay for valet service and only had to pay for the work done on the car I'd probably order one, but I am afraid this is too good to be true.

Well, in Canada, warranty is 3 years, roadside assistance is 4 years, so he possibly was telling the truth, if he was referring to 4th year…. Below is from Polestar Canada document related to Roadside assistance.

When your Polestar vehicle is over 4 years old and out of warranty, additional Roadside Service plans are available for purchase, covering services such as tire changes, door unlocks and recovery to the nearest EV charger. To learn more, contact Polestar.com/contact.
