I don't think so. The release notes say Samsung and Pixel phones.

In any case, I have tried from the car, and also from the email - no luck with either.
When I did the digital key with my iPhone, I could not get it to work with the QR code or email. I had to call support and they reset my account, then it worked. Try it a few times and if it doesn't work, just call support. It took about 10 minutes.

Have now driven the car.

No obvious differences in the drive.

Walk away lock works.

Phone as Key unable to set up with Samsung S22.

Phone as key uses Samsung Wallet so I had to set that up.
I’m an Apple guy, so hesitant to weigh into the digital key for Samsung Wallet / Google Wallet discussion. But, it seems you need to start with confirming your phone supports digital key, then confirm digital key is available in your country, and then confirm your vehicle manufacturer supports digital key.

Example 1: this Samsung website outlines compatible phones, compatible countries… but does not yet list Polestar / Volvo.

Example 2: this Google website outlines compatible phones, and indicates you will receive a "region isn't supported" error or "car isn't supported" error if those are the roadblocks.

Yeah, having seen others with the same issue, I called support. They said that they didn't have any support notes for Android. The person was friendly and helpful, but I gather that she couldn't reset my account because it's an android phone, and that's not in their support notes!

How did you get the new software?

I'm not sure if this is relevant, but in NL the software shows for only the 2025 model, not the LE 2024. don't know how that is in other countries.

It could just be that there is a delay in updating the page, but it could also be that they prioritze the 2025 model for this one?

in Belgium it was the opposite, so I guess it is a delay in the page updates.
the manual now also includes info on CarPlay for example.

In the US, all of the LE's from my understanding were made 2025's due to a stop sale.

Great news !

Can you email the polestar sender and ask if there is anyway to trigger download in background without driving for 1.5 hrs? Can it be done on driveway if car powered & unlocked for example?

I'd be very surprised if this was the case. Normally, an OTA update requires leaving and locking the car.

My support here in Belgium confirms it is already available in the workshops, OTA to be released next week.

And also, he said that AC charging issues are included in the update (at least the ones caused by software).
