ok, I’m going to drive around for a bit and check if it also shows up here :)

How did you get the new software?
I don't have it yet. My car is currently at the Columbus service center and I hope they load it today! I was just responding to a comment about the digital key, which has been available for iPhone.

The battery drainage issue is a hardware issue apparently and earlier material suggested that there would be a repair/swap of a component in 2025 to resolve it but I've never had anything concrete on that as it was part of early EX90 release notes.
I believe I saw a comment on one of the Volvo EX90 forums stating 'second half 2025' for the hardware update

I went into the car like 2 hours ago just to 'turn it on' and made sure it was connected to the wifi, went out into the office again. You think that would be enough to trigger it? or what did you do? :p
Nothing special, I just went for a drive for 20mins, usual routes. But i played ABBA this time, maybe thats triggered it...:p

My service center manager in Ohio said he was told OTA will be available Monday. They have the update in the shop (along with my vehicle).

I'm not sure if this is relevant, but in NL the software shows for only the 2025 model, not the LE 2024. don't know how that is in other countries.

It could just be that there is a delay in updating the page, but it could also be that they prioritze the 2025 model for this one?
Pop up as where? Is it in the vehicle, or are you talking about the website?

Quite a difference between the EX90 and P3 descriptions

Here is what it says on the Volvo EX90 page
Software updates | Volvo Support EN-CA

Updates in software 1.2.6
Software release date: February 10, 2025.
Note
This update will be available as an over-the-air download about three weeks after the software release date.
Wireless Apple CarPlay
Apple CarPlay gives you another way of using your iPhone via the vehicle's interface. You can use certain communication, navigation and media apps on your iPhone via the center display, as well as the steering wheel buttons and voice control.
Connect your iPhone to the vehicle via Bluetooth and activate Apple CarPlay. After setting up CarPlay for the first time, it automatically starts when you connect your phone via Bluetooth again.
Digital Key
Digital key is available for compatible Samsung Galaxy and Google Pixel devices. To set up a new digital key, navigate to the owner profile in the center display, select Car Keys and Set up digital key. Then scan the QR code using your device and follow the link that appears.
You can also share a key across platforms, such as between compatible Android and Apple devices. Remember to check the compatibility of your device on the manufacturer's website and whether this feature is available in your market.
Vehicle Locator
You can use the Volvo Cars app to find your vehicle, if you leave it in a large parking lot, for example, by flashing the lights and sounding the horn remotely. Availability may depend on your region.
Improvements
You can now turn the center display off for cleaning.
If you have a distance-capable key on you, the vehicle will lock automatically when you walk away from it. There are also improvements to automatic unlocking when you approach the vehicle.
You can adjust the light intensity in the center display, and the settings will be stored for the next driving cycle.
After you’ve turned it on, the wireless charger will stay on until you turn if off manually.
The trunk hatch won’t close while you're unloading things from the trunk.
Heat status for the steering wheel and seat heating is now shown correctly in the center display.
It’s now possible to use the Bowers and Wilkins (B & W) app in the vehicle.
The initial wiper stroke has been removed.
The operational range for the forward collision warning system has been expanded to account for vehicles moving perpendicular to the vehicle, and it can engage autonomous braking when both vehicles are moving at speeds between 40 and 60 km/h. This change does not affect compliance with any certification regulations.
This update also contains some minor improvements and fixes. Including improvements to:
  • Hands-off detection and lane change graphics for Pilot Assist
  • Bluetooth and phone connection stability
  • Sounds in the vehicle
  • Gear shifting at low speeds
  • Messages for the Advanced Driver Assistance System's (ADAS) Rear Auto Brake when driving in the dark
  • AC charging
  • General stability and performance of climate and interior lights
