Has anyone tried the configurator recently and noticed that the permutations for a new factory order are extremely limited?
As a potential option to replace my launch edition which has still not been fixed after 10 weeks of waiting I was considering ordering another but I can't get anything close on spec without getting a 'Configuration not available for factory order. Compare your configuration with available cars.' message. These are the things I have not been able to select: matrix lights, privacy glass, wool interior, 21 inch plus wheels. Selecting any of those gives the error.
Its like they don't want to accept any new factory orders and are pushing customers to take a preconfigured car instead.

That just means a car of the spec you want is already built and available.

I don't think that's the case because for the basic configurations is does give me an option for a factory order, its only when i start adding extras that the option disappears. If I look at the preconfigured cars, there are none with the spec I want but it still won't let me spec a factory order.

In the Netherlands I can just select those options for a may-june delivery,.. But weirdly enough the Lidar package completely disappeared from the option list.

Same for me, I can select all options but May-June delivery. But Lidar is removed, smart move if you ask me. Focus next 12 months to get the current systems working before adding the level of complexity lidar brings. Not many people that will walk away from a P3 purchase decision because of Lidar not being there.

Never mind the current software bugs, they can't get the car to sell, so there's a near zero percent chance that they will add back the Lidar option at all. I suspect that those that had ordered it with the Lidar setup will be getting an order cancellation soon and the offer to switch over to existing stock.

Between the software issues on both the P3 and the P4, plus the soft sales for both, and that the P4 is probably going to get locked out of the US market well before the South Korean facility is up and running....I'd be worried about Polestar as a brand at all. Geely will only take it so far and absorb so much.

It is disappointing but I have the same feeling. Too much lost momentum and the losses will not be made up when the released vehicles are not stellar examples of quality and first rate technology.

And it's not as if there's any form of relief on the horizon. The next cars in the pipeline are the 5 and the 6. Those are low volume, high price cars, that would be heavily dependent on a strong brand reputation in order to make them attractive to buyers at that price point.

My P3 LE arrived today. Delivered with 1.1.22. Took a quick spin around the block and it emergency breaked at around 30mph on a side road with cars parked either side.

A subsequent update to 1.1.23 and a 10 min drive was thankfully faultless.

I’ve got some items that don’t/can’t seem to get working so will post to relevant thread.

Just finally glad to have it and frustrating and an off putting experience so far as it’s been, I’m just pleased to see it and know it’s several updates on from when it was supposed to be delivered when 1.1.11 was the latest s/w.

Just picked up my 2025 dual motor long range Polestar 3 today. Locked in a Midnight with charcoal nappa leather and Pilot and Plus packs just about a week ago.

Got an amazing deal and the turn in of the lease on my 2 was painless as well. It really is an amazing car.

Just as a datapoint. I took a test drive of the P3 12/7 and really liked it. After trying an etron and realizing that it's not for me, placed an order on 12/9 for a P3 Plus Jupiter Zinc that was slated due "Late December". i assume it was at the factory waiting for an allocation. Need to get delivery by Jan 2 to get the discounts knocking 12.5k off the MSRP. Initial ETA to the Detroit Polestar was 12/22 and now told 12/20 + a couple of days to prep/update software.

Fingers crossed I get it next week and then I can learn how to do soft resets to clear errors like everyone else!

Did you have any updates to your car? I ordered one at the end of November and was told it would be end of December but it is still not showing any definitive date. I was hoping to be able to make it and get the Costco rebate but now I’m questioning whether that’s going to happen.

Yes. It made it to Detroit on 12/20 as planned. Handoff on Monday. Sales associate was communicative and seemed to know the shipping schedule.

I was prepared to pivot to an in stock vehicle. Hope it’s on a truck to you!

How are you finding it now you have had it a few days? I am still waiting for mine to be fixed and delivered nearly 12 weeks after the first delivery attempt. I'm contemplating just cancelling the order and ordering a Macan instead as the UK customer services is truly awful.

I truly feel for you @stuie-t, a whole lot of stress that no one needs on top of the daily grind.
What I would say is that, it’s living up to expectation. Now that’s subjective, having come out of a 2020 Range Rover Velar, so I’ll compare it to that:
Amazing agility. Point it one way and it will move that weight effortlessly.
Ridiculous torque and it’s got the stopping power to match
The ride is stiff, even on standard compared to the 21” air suspension on the Velar
Seats are more supportive and view out to the sides less obscured by narrower A pillars
Rear seating area with flat floor is a game changer for my family
Boot is smaller but wider
Covered less than 150 miles, averaging 3.9KWh/per mile. Which is decent I think.
Thank goodness the software stability has finally turned a corner. I can largely live with bugs but my wife had zero patience or willingness to accept things that are advertised, then not working!
Segways onto what’s advertised and not available. Like many have posted, lack of what is considered basic functionality in the premium sector is mind boggling; memory recalled seats, missing mirror functionality and the myriad of how does the car lock unlock and then start with a card or that stupid puke or digital key (which I can’t get to work) are my three gripes

On balance, getting on fine with it and just want PS to get a move on with introducing the missing advertised features.

If I’ve one worry, it’s not the car, it’s how much can I truly rely on UK Customer Service when I need them. So far the answer to that’s been I can’t so fingers crossed nothing goes wrong here on in.

So it's the beginning of the end for my Polestar journey as I have now asked my lease company (Zenith) to cancel the order. Ordered back in December 2022, it has been an extreme test of my patience starting with the initial delays with the launch and then the ongoing issues with my car in particular. The last 14 weeks it has been sat at the storage facility in Southampton awaiting repair after issues identified at handover and in that time the only updates from Polestar have been firstly to attempt re-delivery 10 weeks ago with the same faults and then an email 6 weeks ago to say that it now has new issues. calls and emails requesting updates sent from myself, the lease company and from Polestar's own social media team went unanswered. To top it off, they didn't bother to put it on a transporter for the second aborted delivery so it now has clocked up 250 delivery miles on it and i never got to drive it myself.

If Polestar survives (and unfortunately it's a big IF) I'm sure it will turn out to be a great car eventually

My order, made in January 2024 is still not delivered, though the car has been in Australia since September. It’s super sad that the company has been so incompetent though the basics of the car remain great.
But it’s no longer my problem as I’ve been driving a MB EQE 350 SUV since September. I truly want Polestar to survive, but thus far, given my experience, I think it’s unlikely.
Apart from the delay, the Benz was around AU$30K cheaper.
Theres a huge challenge for Polestar.
I wish everyone good luck with their new cars.
BTW, as always happens when you get a new car, I keep seeing EQEs on the road which gives me confidence. I only wish the same were true for P*3 drivers.
