Used Polestar 2 with Performance Pack doesn't have performance software upgrade

I recently bought my used Polestar 2, which is equipped with the performance pack. It has all of the performance hardware and shows performance pack on my app. I have been driving it for over a month now and had my doubts about the rated 0-60 that I had expected with the performance pack. Come to find out that the software does not seem to be activated on my car. I have the performance app, which I had believed was the indication of the software. However, my app only shows the G force, not launch control. I just became aware that all p2s have the app, but performance software includes launch control.

Has anyone had a similar issue? I would have assumed that the software would be active, especially considering the car was originally bought with full performance pack. Any advice on what I should do? Am I missing something?

Thanks for the help!

The performance pack and the performance software upgrades are two separate items, at least before MY23 I believe. My '22 has the performance pack as well but I would have to contact Polestar and pay for the performance software upgrade separately if I would like to add it (which I can't really justify XD)

Oh wow, thanks for letting me know that. I thought that Performance pack included the performance software base and non Performance pack p2s had the option to pay separately for the upgrade. A bit confusing, but I can probably find a way to live with the current specs haha.

Yes, the earlier cars had the Performance Pack hardware (shocks, wheel & belts - not to forget the Gold Valve covers!) but did not have the extra power. This was introduced as an optional cost add-on, and then as standard on later PPP models.

Have a look at your P* App and see if you have the option in the shop (Account->Shop->Extras) - if it is, then yours is one of the earlier models.

It's definitely a luxury and not required, but the difference in throttle response to me is the greatest benefit. Both off the line and in medium speed traffic. It's a tighter response on the accelerator and your foot doesn't have to travel as much to achieve the same response. I lost mine randomly during an OTA update briefly and once it was gone I truly appreciated the difference it made.

I have a 2023 Polestar 2 with all the packs and I can tell you that you can really feel the difference from a standard dual motor to the Performance pack. WHen I tested both cars first, I drove the standard DMLR and then the Performance Pack car and my wife looked at me and said " I hope we are buying this". Enough said!
The mapping on the throttle is different too and its just there when you need it. I have tried several 0-60 pulls and I'm constantly hitting 3.8 seconds at 90% battery.
If you have a Lauch model with Brembo brakes and Ohlins suspension, then get the software bump. You will get the 350 kwh door stickers and the white Polestar Engineered badge for the front grille.

Thats my $0.02c.
