Weird glitches from update (audio, door locks, screen)

My car is on update 3.6.4 for a few months now. Since then my door locks has not been very responsive. I would need to touch the door handles front and rear at least 10 times for it to lock/unlock, often times locking when it’s already locked. Even pressing the buttons on the fob did not work, only after pressing the buttons repeatedly for a little while. My phone as key no longer works. I tried my other fob and activity key thinking it maybe low on batteries, but I still have the same results. This seems to be the case when my car has been parked for a period of time (a couple of hours to overnight).

The other issue i have been experiencing has To do with the audio. I listen primarily to Spotify and the radio. Often the icons on the infotainment screen for Spotify and the radio are interchanged, for example I would tap Spotify and I would get the radio, and vice-versa. I experienced this before the update, but it has gotten worse with the update, plus the audio would turn itself off after a minute if the screen is not displaying the Spotify or radio window.

There has been other glitches I experienced since the update, but it only happened a couple of times or infrequently:
  • the parking brake would always engage when the car is stopped.
  • seatbelt warning not functioning.
  • camera inoperable when parking.
  • infotainmentscreen would flicker.

Anyone else experienced these issues? I plan to take it into Polestar to get it checked out.

I've not had any issue with the lock/unlock, but the issue with the incorrect app opening has been present for me for years. I've got a 2022 DMLR and this app opening issue started early on and has never been remedied.

I've also had strange things happening since the 3.6.4 update. Prior to the update, whenever I would get out of the driver's seat and shut the door, the infotainment would stop. Now, if I have music playing, I can get out of the car and shut the door and walk away and the music will just continue to play indefinitely until I lock the car. I've also had HVAC issues. I usually get in the car first and turn on the HVAC. Since the update, after I initially get in and set the HVAC, if another passenger opens a door to get in, the HVAC will abruptly turn off for 5-10 seconds. The side mirrors no longer reliably tilt in reverse; I usually have to go in and out of drive/reverse a couple times to get it to work. And of course I still get the backup camera unavailable message nearly every day. While these are all annoying, it hasn't yet motivated me to make the 3hr roundtrip for service.

try restarting infotainment. Mine did this ~10 times in one day but never again after a reboot

My guess is the system ran out of RAM. sometime I open App A that kills App B, go back to open B now A stops. (this can be navigation via google maps, car stat viewer, YT music, etc)

These 2 go hand in hand. if the car thinks you're not belted in it engages parking brake anytime you come to a complete stop

Definitely get it checked out, record a video of it happening and show it to the tech during a visit, the best thing is to reproduce on site but sometimes these things only happen when we're not trying to figure out why 😢
