last year's news - for the MY25 RWD P3.

I’m always late to the party

Just to be clear, i see here in European website we can still order a custom build P3. I assume this will be produced in SC factory, right?
Yes. And the "model year 2026 until April" is only for the US, and I can't speak for other markets. Just because the US market is saturated with 2025 inventory doesn't mean that other markets are.

This mean we won't be seeing Orin upgrade until (2nd half) 2026?! 😔
I also heard that we should know more about this by January. Unclear if that means only that the next messaging about it would come in January, or if January is when they might start retrofits.

Hi, from what I‘ve heard from sources in Polestar Germany MY26 should arrive in the coming weeks. They wouldn‘t give me a clear date. They indirectly „confirmed“ that the MY26 will feature 800V. To my question when the CPU upgrade will happen they told me, that it‘ll be coming very soon.
Somewhere else I‘ve read it‘ll be released on the 23rd of September.

Announced in the coming weeks and actually being produced as MY26 are 2 different things. Best indicator is look at inventory of cars scheduled to be delivered to dealerships. (At least for the US) The Polestar site isn't overly reliable when it comes to dates, but if you look at Volvo for EX90, they've got cars coming off that can be ordered still 7 weeks out. So we would be looking at November it seems for any MY26 coming off the assembly line at earliest.

Yes, I didn‘t say - or at least did not intend to - that it is already in production. But with the announcement we should get closer to the CPU swap.

this is really saying something - because you would typically expect MY26 to be available right about now.

not sure how you arrive at this conclusion. my guess is that incentives just keep growing. I guess until April. lol.
Well, tax credit goes away after Sept 30, so there goes the incentive to lease. Maybe they’ll switch to purchase incentives so they won’t have to take the depreciation hit :)

the MY25 RWD P3:

the MY26 RWD P3:
  • Horsepower: 333 hp.
  • Torque: 480 lb-ft.
whoa. that's quite a big bump.

I wonder where this information is derived from... As there is no official information available could be just a placeholder. Or not.

The publication shows 480 N-m torque = 354 lb-ft so basically no change.
I think it might be a small change - but my understanding is that the tradeoff between voltage and torque isn't straightforward. so I'd be curious to know what the 800V DC car pushes out as AC voltage to the motor. perhaps it is similar?

OMG. @nbvolks looks like you might be getting your Beast edition. lol.
  • 680 HP
  • Krypton green paint.

ps: I've been assured that the French do not adhere to the same MY standard as the rest of us. So, even though it says 2025. and yes. I'm a bit confused too. But I was told that somehow the French have got an early 2026 PS document.

Interesting that they went with calling the color "Krypton", as that's a Geely/Zeekr thing. The "kr" in Zeekr is KRypton.

It's also another tri-coat color, like Snow, so it's base/metallic/pearl. I'm trying to find a color code reference somewhere to see if it's already used another Geely product.

Maybe horsepowers are different in France too ;)
