@Alan-BE do you "eject" the usb drive before you pull it out? maybe you're removing the drive without ejecting first? this could corrupt the files on the drive.

I am indeed talking about a file which 'as one would say in Belgium they ratatouilles' have not disappeared.
PC scan finds nothing, but some MP3s are truncated

Are the files as the content truncated? Or the file names truncated? The latter would be quite normal if you've formatted it as FAT...

I am very careful, removing the key without deactivating can completely corrupt the USB key!
PS: I stopped compiling roms and apps. Android and can't get over it to help verify the .apk!! in 15 years I lost my touch. I'm not 40 anymore 😁

Je ne suis pas anglais, difficile de détailler ! Les textes ne bougent pas, les fichiers non plus, c'est le son de certains MP3 qui sautent (comme une griffe dans un disque vinyle)

This can happen to any file and once damaged they must be replaced! Windows finds no errors there.
I have the same USB key in my other car and there are no problems (it's not an electric one but can read MP3).
Even a chkdsk of all the MP3 on the stick does not see the errors!
PS: My stick has 531 MP3 and 31 folders. When this happens it happens on a few random files, maybe 5-10 overall!!!

Have you tried a different manufacturers USB stick with the same files? (in their un-corrupted form obviously)

Tested on 3 different USB sticks, same problems, I also thought it could be the quality of the USB, but no!!

I can't replicate this issue myself. Is there something that the MP3 files that get corrupted have in common perhaps? Something like created with a particular piece of software, a particular bit rate, name/number in filename etc. When something appears to be random usually has a pattern as to why being the logic.

Almost all my files are in MP3 320 Kbits/s. As soon as I have the problem again, I will post on MEGA 1 or 2 mp3 which are modified and buggy. It's not necessarily the same files that have this problem!!

I installed it in the Volvo XC60 and can confirm artwork is now displayed when you select the Files tab section. Strangely the artwork does not display when you select the Tracks tab though which it did before but all is good. Thanks again.

The eject function has moved, please read the changelog.
For the other issues, whenever you encounter this issue you need to first re-format your USB drive using a new FAT32 filesystem first and put new files on the drive, your filesystem is broken when you see that.

Artwork should only display in tracks, artists and albums tabs, never in files tab. (edit: should work in files as well)

OK. I only see artwork in Files unfortunately. Tracks for example just show the generic note icon.
