Getting my new rear axles at Polestar Charlotte tomorrow. 🤞
Took four hours instead of the typical two - they had a difficult time taking out the old ones.

Would have been $1,865 without my extended warranty - I paid $100 (and two trips to Charlotte).

I noticed a much tighter ride after they were replaced, so wonder if you do too.

And $1865 would have been just for the parts! (here was $925 for each axle, then spacers ($80) and bolts ($39) to total $2303 before tax). Labor is an extra grand or so.

Yeah, turning felt better - had started to feel a little loose in the rear like a tiny fish tail wag.

The invoice copy they gave me is not that detailed:

Noise is getting more pronounced. Not looking forward to that kind of repair bill.

I suspect it’s similar to a clicking noise I heard when slowing to a stop with the music off. Turned out was a set of relays that click at levels of braking engaging from no braking to braking and at different intensities of braking from there.
For me I can reproduce it every time the power meter goes from Orange (acceleration/motor) to white (regen/braking). This is entirely normal and in all our cars
'23 w/ 22k (U.S.) miles on it. Seemed to start happening a month or so ago.

But yes consistently when switching between orange / white on the regen meter. Just one click at the point of transition. Not to be confused with an ongoing clicking noise.

Just got my rear axles replaced under warranty for this.

And 2 weeks later, the front axles are starting to make the same noise…

Going to hold off on fixing this for now until my local Polestar service centers get their act together, because it was >3 weeks to get it fixed last time.
