Like those and they’re not even on a car yet!

Pic. was supposed to be a countdown teaser, but suspense is mostly mine. I'll post images of the whole thing when car is ready, around 11/01.

Committed to 19" for winter tires now so now I'm on the search for a set of wheels to use in the summer or winter. My SMLR car comes with 19" summer tires.

I'm open to paying more for a set of lighter summer wheels but won't say no to a cheap set for winter abuse too. I know a custom forged wheel shop but still not ready to drop 6-8k on summer wheels just yet. If HRE or BBS come out with something flow forged, it'll be good enough.

If 6-8k is on the expensive spectrum then is this on the "cheap abusable" side?

Decent price for a quality wheel. Forgot about this brand. Don't know if it'll work with the P*2.

interestingly i was looking at a set of wheels yesterday of the same style but 20'' and fully painted dark grey.

Note that the grey is lighter on the rims than the plastic mouldings of the car, which are somewhere between the Misano's and the Polestar OEM black.

Just saying.

I don't mind the difference, especially with the brightwork on my version of the rims, but others might not like the mismatch.

The foundary and paintwork on the Dotz wheels isn't the very best I have seen. There are some blemishes in the barrel and on the back, which I actually improved a bit on my set, but the fronts are well finished.

Sorry for the random drop in here. I've just put my order in for a Snow 21 Dual Motor non PP 20" (just what they still had) and have been lurking these forums without an account for over a year now (Many thanks to many of you that have been posting forever). I've had quite a hard time figuring out what winter wheel/tire set I'll be putting on this and haven't really been able to find anything with a 50 offset at all. The rubber seems easy enough to get but wheels are quite a pain and I'm sort of resisting swapping rubber by the season here in Calgary.
I've got a plan to call over to the Volvo dealership where than has an XC40 Pure Recharge sitting on the lot to see what they say about what they're putting on those for winters and will update this, but I'll take any North American info anyone has on existing wheels.

On another note, hello to you all! I'll put pictures up when I have it and when all the extra protection bits and interior wraps are done (I'm PPF and Ceramic-ing the whole thing if I can, and may put some vinyl on the inside on the glossy bits). You all are an incredibly smart and sharing community!

I ended up getting some 18s from a Volvo XC60 Recharge to use, as mine came with the standard 19in summer tires. They fit perfectly and are the same size front to back (the XC40 recharge has different size wheels). I got some Pirelli Scorpion Winters to put on and they are doing fine, although I haven't had much snow since getting them.

Those are nice looking wheels (to me at least)! My old outback had similar and they remind me a bit of the 20" PP wheels as well. 18 sounds small to me compared to 20's and stock 19's but maybe its not too big of a difference. Do you happen to know what the offset on those are? Also, has anyone noticed any weirdness with lower offset wheels (45's) compared to the massive 50 that comes stock?

Thanks! I like the 5-spoke look, and you still get the aero wheels. I just wished that the Polestar center caps fit. These are 50 offset, just like the stock wheels.

I wanted to size down and go with thinner wheels for winter, and the extra sidewall makes the car look a bit more rugged. I didn't have the car long enough to know the difference, but I can definitely assume that the summer tires will handle better.

I'll check in with the Polestar guys when I finalize getting mine (still haven't decided on pickup or delivery specifically because of wheels and tires and travelling between Alberta and BC) on if I can easily get a set of 19's or 20's OE, but if not, this is a solid option from a Volvo dealership in town. Those also don't look so aero that they take away from the look of the car either so another positive!

Not sure I can recommend Megahjul any more. They list a lot of items that are not available in practice and the prices are not as great as they make them out to be either. I ended up with Dotz wheels, which are still quite cheap and IMHO look good. Not sure I trust Megahul's hype about their tyres either.

I ordered a set of 19x8.5" (ET45) Rotiform ZMO for my non-PP car and they just canceled the order because they can't guarantee they would fit. I didn't think I would have a problem with any 19" wheel with 45mm or higher offset. They said the non-PP calipers are still quite big. Do you guys think it would be risky to buy the wheels without a fitment guarantee? I really want to get some new 19" wheels, but I don't like the options I have seen other people use.
