An ideal offset puts the center of the tire in line with the center of the wheel hub bearings. Hence, the wider rims in the rear require a slightly higher offset. I don't think anything's radical here.

Yeah... the weight is considerable, but I've never really weighed rims before so I don't really know.

Just looked around the 'net a bit and find 20" wheels this wide tend to run in the mid-30 pounds, so I guess these wheels are on the light side.

My polestar 2 does not arrive until october, but at least i got some wheels arriving shortly to sit in the garage. Ordered the ZAX EV631 SATIN BLACK 20x8.5 5-108 ET46 CB63.4 for my upcoming car with performance pack. The specs look good, and shifts the wheels the maximum allowed outward (7mm each side.) 8.5 wide in the rear will give a bit more rubber on the outside to help against wheel damage.
See mock up picture from the dealer below.

Looks great!

One small question, what is "maximum allowed outward"? Although the picture may not be a good reference it seems there are still a bit left under the fender.

In Norway the maximum allowed track width change without new approval of the vehicle is 15mm (7,5 each side of the car). See image.

Norwegian type approval law is to a large extent harmonised with the EU, so the same may apply in other EU countries, but it was hard for me to find the relevant provisions (endless .pdf regulation documents). Spend some hours searching and you may come up with an answer for your country.

Regarding the part of the discussion here about same rim size front and rear, there was an interesting post in this discussion, with a short explanation as to why Polestar might have chosen 8" front and 9" rear rims. Bearing in mind that winter is slippery in many countries, maybe we should be cautious about messing with the recommended dimensions when buying aftermarket winter wheel sets?

I also know of wheel and tire specialists who recommend exactly that (referenced in other thread).

As a novice I would be very interested if anyone with more knowledge than me could explain more about the advantages and and risks of changing the OEM specification and invite further discussion, either here or in the other thread.

Not really aftermarket but anyone an idea the Volvo XC60/V60/S60 Polestar engineerd 5-Y spoke Black Diamond Cut will fitt on a P2 with Performance Pack? 21 or even de 22? Et is 43, J for 21 is 8,5 and 9 for 22. Rubber could be,

I originally wanted my winter set for that but the service manager at Polestar Toronto recommended me not to as the wheels are not weight rated for our cars... Other Volvo wasn't helpful as well and I gave up as it was too much work to find out.

Where did you get the PS decals?
I have been looking for something like this but in the right colour and size for my centrecaps too.
Yours look great!
