I order mine at the start of March and the website states an October delivery. I have been told it will be an MY2024 model. I am not sure of the switch over though. I did read that delivers (in the UK anyway) will be Q3 this year

 

Order late February, estimated September delivery. JSON tells me expected delivery date is 17/08.

 

Does anyone know whether the rear seats get more room (especially the middle seat, is the floor still elevated?)

As was already said, model year change over for Volvo/Polestar usually follows the schedule of ramping down production in April, retooling/retraining, and ramping back up in May.

What surprises me is all of you Europeans saying delivery dates of September or October. I know they're shipping from China as opposed to either Sweden or Belgium, but those delivery dates are later than usual. October is typically when we'd start seeing deliveries of a new model year here in NA.

I wonder if there's some sort of additional retooling/restaging considerations around the new motors and batteries.

Mine switched to August 2023 in June when it went onto the Azul Ace in Shanghai

 

I ordered around then, through my employer (and through Leaseplan), and I've had my car for a month! Also SMSR in Magnesium, but with pilot and plus packs and the standard 19" wheels.

Something definitely seems amiss.

I really would like the 2024 (except the grille) but i would very surprised if it was a 2024 that I'm getting. I don't think they started the manufacture of them yet.

But I guess the 2023 is an OK model But I really wanted to have the Pixel headlights...

Hi, I ordered end Oct 22 and delivery is July. Car was built mid March 23. I'm guessing it is waiting to get loaded on a ship. This is a MY23 car.

 

I have also ordered at the end of October last year (SRSM). My estimated delivery is saying 20-07, but do not a have a VIN nor manufacturing date. How or when did you retrieve information about your mid-March manufacturing date?

 

When can MY24 be ordered in the U.S.?

 

I cancelled my 2023 Performance order after seeing the big improvements in styling, new motors, new performance wheels and better value regarding the packs. 2024 configurator for N. America should be May 1.

 

If you guys want som real world ordered-built-delivery times I can say that our car was ordered in may, built in august and we picked it up 1 dec in Sweden.
So your car will be built about 3-4 months before you have it, if you are in europe at least.
And the car was in Sweden about a month before we got it.

I'm more interested in comparisons between the FWD SM and the RWD SM. Overviews are nice, but we've known the specs for a while now. But, Volvo's RWD offerings aren't available yet either so we'll have to have patience.

 

Ordered mine in January when the new ordering opened and I’ve got estimated arrival of Jan 2024. Ordered the same spec as some of those that ordered in Feb/March and have earlier arrival estimates. Seems like the order book is all over the place !

 

Single Motor Standard Range versions are starting deliveries in January, Single Motor Long Range and Dual Motor Long Range start deliveries in August. Checking on Polestar UK, they still say delivery between August - September for the SMLR/DMLR.

 

As we're May now, MY2024 production should start soon in order to be able to deliver starting August.

Anyone with a MY24 order that has updated recently? My last JSON update was on 17/03/2023 - to update handover location.

I was chatting to someone on the Polestar stand at the Fully Charged show and they said that the MY24 went into production last week. This is for the larger battery variants.

Not sure if this is helpful but I think I was one of the very last people to order the MY23 in January (just a few days before the 24 was available to order)

my order was built last week with an expected delivery of July (UK) so I’m fairly confident they’ll be switching over to 2024 production any day now.

 

Update! As of 8:30 am this morning I have a VIN for my MY24! in the JSON, the ExpectedDeliveryDate moved up from 17/08 to 04/08.

Its getting real!

Loving the refresh especially the new front end and Performance 20's from the P3. Can't wait to get my 24. The unpainted plastic panels still looks so cheap though. Wish they offered an appearance pack with paint color matching.

I was the opposite and considered buying a MY23 instead for the old front, in the end I made the sensible decision and went for the MY24. Now though after seeing some recent YT videos showing the MY24 in all its glory I'm kind of sold on it.

 

I ordered 18 feb and my "estimatedDeliveryDate" is 2023-09-14 in the JSON.
But on the webpage it says October and in the phone app it says September.. And when I ordered it said Aug-Sept..
So it's a bit confusing.
But is there a chance to get it before the "estimatedDeliveryDate" in the JSON? 😅
I'm in Norway and ordered Long range Dual motor with Performance, Plus and Pilot pack.

It can always change. They’re never set in stone. But Estimated + two weeks is generally the rule if history learns me something

 

Just as an update to whoever is following this: EstimatedDeliveryDate just moved again, now expected on 24/07/2023.

Either they're wildly optimistic, or the MY24 production really is in full swing.

Edit: What is surprising however, is that they've moved the estimate 3 times since my order got assigned a VIN - but I've yet to receive a mail telling me they're planning to ship. Don't want to get my hopes up 😅

 

the shipping emails is not something everybody gets I think.
And they come much later then the boat leaves.

 

I just checked my order (MY24 SMLR pilot, plus, nappa, ordered in Spain) and it has the same 01/08/2023 delivery date.
The normal webpage was showing September 2023 as delivery date before but it is now changed to August 2023.
Today Polestar support informed me that the PS2 is already manufactured waiting in Shanghai.
