OK. I only see artwork in Files unfortunately. Tracks for example just show the generic note icon.
Ah ok I was wrong, files can also have artwork I forgot I did that.

You can try to re-create your metadata database for album art to show up maybe. To do that, eject your USB drive, then from AudioWagon settings delete the corresponding database, then re-index metadata. If that does not help, please send me a log file.

When I got in the car today the artwork appeared in the tracks list !!! Happy days.
And I didn't do anything. I wonder if every time something installs in the Volvo it has to have another reboot to load properly, I have had this with OTA updates where although the system states its version x.xx it doesn't show all the added features until after another reboot. Files list doesn't show artwork now but that isn't a problem but thought worth mentioning.

I now have trouble with Audiowagon, since 2.2.2, 2.2.3 or 2.2.4, i'm not sure.

Every time I start a track, I get one or two seconds audio interruptions (mostly in the first minute of playback, problem seems to disappear further in the song).
Sometimes, the interruption is long and the player skips to next track.
Sometimes, it's even more broken and the player just stops. After that, media browser can't load album covers and player can't load any track.

I tried :
  • Force close, clear cache, restart
  • Metadata rebuild
  • Different USB stick
  • Re-installing the app

Am I the only one with a problem like this ?

I will try next :
  • Smaller library (1 album)
  • MP3 instead of FLAC
  • Different USB-C USB-A adapter

Hi, please provide a log file that contains the issue then I can look into it, maybe I can see why it happens.
Otherwise when you don't need to create log files you should turn that setting off, as it puts additional load on the USB drive and might cause such issues when you have a slow or older USB drive.

Quick update, for prosperity.

Here's what I think happened :
  • Polestar added USB Status Monitor (which I was not aware of)
  • USB Status Monitor started polling my USB storage, creating hiccups in the playback
  • I enabled logging ton investigate, enhancing my problems

After I stumbled upon "Fehler USB Stick" with 2.2 Update · Issue #73 · MoleMan1024/audiowagon, I tried force quitting the USB Status Monitor. Problems diminished.
I then turned off logging and everything went back to normal.

Hello, New UK P2 keeper here. Specifically ordered the Plus pack for the stereo - I'm afraid a fair bit of my music taste isn't catered on the streaming services. First app I downloaded was AudioWagon it doesn't recognise my Old Sony Walkman MP3 player - it's getting long in the tooth - I wasn't surprised the USB from my previous vehicle wouldn't read but had hopes for the player. Happy to buy a new one but rather than buy a pup is there a list of those that Audiowagon will read?

Worth a test!
Well I have a file of each sample rate to see if it works on my test drive. I'm going to look at a 2022 xc60.

But I'd rather get a 2023 v60 sedan with that wool interior lol plus sedans are quieter.

Hopefully I can install audio wagon for a test drive lol

I looked at all wired and wireless options. This is what i found! I'm checking to see what the audiowagon app published maximum specs are.

So if you have a pre 2022 Volvo model you don't have to be penalized and use usb C only for files and have to deal with the audiowagon app for music off of a usb drive at a max of 24bit 44.1khz playback and all higher sampled music is downsampled to that rate.. Pre 2022 volvos have usb A and can run any audio App for music playback and play Flac up to 24-192 from a USB drive.

A user states that "I have been playing Flac's up to 24-192 from a USB drive. They sound excellent. I make LP and folder playlists in Foobar2000 and that works perfectly."

I do not recall what my test usb had for a pre 2022 volvo XC60 with bowers and wilkins and the android OS not Android automotive that is standard in 2022+.

I guess you have to buy a pre 2022 Volvo if you care about audio quality? In an Acura with ELS 3D the all High rez music files play via usb and you still have a AUX connection! Genesis Lexicon limits their system to 24bit 192khz Highrez playback via usb. Revel in Lincoln also plays all All hirez music formats and Lexus Mark levinson plays all Hirez music formats and still has AUX input.

Every other high end car plays 24 bit/ 192khz files.
