Has anyone looked into getting a set of winter OZ Racing rally wheels as fitted to the one-off Polestar Arctic Circle?

They do them in grey and black as well.

Something quite retro and cool about that car, but maybe a bit much for a daily...

I ordered a set of 19x8.5" (ET45) Rotiform ZMO for my non-PP car and they just canceled the order because they can't guarantee they would fit. I didn't think I would have a problem with any 19" wheel with 45mm or higher offset. They said the non-PP calipers are still quite big. Do you guys think it would be risky to buy the wheels without a fitment guarantee? I really want to get some new 19" wheels, but I don't like the options I have seen other people use.
I think it’s because the offset is only 45. The front is 50 and the back is 53.

I bought a single Rotiform ZMO because I was pretty sure it would fit and they told me I could return it if I don't put a tire on it. It fit fine with tons of clearance (19 x 8.5" ET45). Now I can't decide between anthracite (gunmetal) or matte black. I think either would work because of the black trim around the car. Matte black would look very mean and anthracite would be a bit more elegant. What do you all think?

looks great. Did you consider 18”? What offset are you using?

was looking at that and considering their aerodisc covers to make a rally look and for efficiency

I didn't want to go as small as 18", but I'm pretty sure 18s in this style would fit. Just trying to decide on black or anthracite/gunmetal. I think they look really nice and the lines go well with the style of the car. I'm not a big fan of the Rotiform logo, but I can get different center caps.

They look nice! If it was me, I would go with the anthracite. I think it looks really sharp with the Thunder and I feel like black is a bit overdone at this point.

Are you going with a wider wheel in the back, like it comes stock, or going with all the same size?

On a related note, what jack stand is that you are using? I am looking to get some tools to swap my winter and summer wheels myself without having to take it to a shop and looking for suggestons.

Most people I've asked are picking matte black. I'm leaning that way, but I'm still undecided. Thanks for the input.

The wheel offset is 45mm and they are all 8.5" wide which is a fine compromise between 8" front and 9" rear. I don't believe that 0.5" different and having the front and back the same is going to throw anything off or be noticeably different.

I'm using RennStands by Safe Jack. They are pretty sweet and they allow you to jack up the car and put it on stands with only the pinch welds. They are way too expensive, but very well made. I will likely only use them to switch winters to summers, and maybe to rotate my now square wheel set. Here's a link and there's a lot of other info out there: RennStand by Safe Jack

Thanks,
Jason

Any thoughts on the Rotiform RSE wheels?:

Those can be used with their aerodisc covers, which I imagine will give a similar look to the Oz Racing wheels of the Arctic Circle. Thinking 18"x8.5" would give a bit less overall weight, less rotational inertia, more sidewall for comfort, and with the covers better efficiency?
Plus would look totally rad.

My wife will probably veto any changes but I'm still interested....

I really those Rotiform Aerodisc wheels, and I think they would look cool on the P*2. It’s a thumbs up from me 👍🏽

Great job doing the legwork on this. I may copy you. I also have Thunder, and I think I would go matte black, but I am intrigued by the anthracite. I'd love to see the anthracite with a tire on it, on the thunder car. If you ever go down that road, let us know!

I took a bit of risk buying the single wheel and it took a lot of haggling to get the dealer to let me return it. I couldn't return it if I had mounted a tire. My decision would have been easier if I could have seen both colors with tires mounted. I'll take pictures of the matte black ZMOs (with tires) when I get them. They are scheduled to arrive on Thursday.

I just placed an order for 4 of these (in matte black) from Discount tire. They quoted me $335 per wheel, plus bolts and install. Discount Tire had to order them directly from Rotiform. Rotiform said they have only 8 left in stock (before my order), since the ZMO is now discontinued and is being replaced with the ZMO-M (which I don't like as much). Did you get yours yet @EVEng ?

I've had them about a week, but I don't have any good pictures. I really like them, but the downside of matte black is that you miss the details unless you are near the car and looking.

I don't think you are right about the ZMO being discontinued. The ZMO and ZMO-M came out at the same time. The ZMO-M has more of a rally vibe and didn't seem like a good fit for the car.

Looks great - thanks fore posting!

Yeah, I have no idea - I could well be wrong. This is just what Discount Tire said that the folks at Rotiform told them. So roughly third-hand news at this point...

Are the OEM and Roti’s hub centric or lug centric? They have different center bore sizes. Did you have to use a hub adapter ring?

nicely done btw.
Talked to Rotiform and they said they are discontinuing the ball seat versions of these wheels (ours are cone seat). They said no-one is ordering those and they have limited material.
