No connectivity for 2 days (unbelievably a first for me). I have family coming over from Canada on Saturday & really wanted everything working ahead of a busy week of driving. All sorted now.
Velcro tape for the 12v battery will be collected from Toolstation in the morning.

Another data point. Have owned my 2021 for only 2.5 weeks now, and yesterday I encountered an issue with GPS/LTE going out. The mister/defrost button reset method did not work for me. After leaving it locked & charging overnight, it seems to have resolved itself. I'm on P2.10. During the outage yesterday, key fobs worked fine, and so did the app (minus the location status).

I did this again and took some pictures. Thanks again as it is quick and easy!

1 - pull up to uncover the left side of the engine and access the 12v battery
Image

2 - 10mm long socket disconnect the battery negative terminal
Image

3 - I keep rubber gloves in the frunk, along with other tools just in case. I used a glove to prevent contact with the terminal
Image

4 - pull on the left side trunk trim and then the carpet to gain some space for access
Image

5 - insert a long cruciform screwdriver in the hole and move the tip upwards. The TCAM battery will drop.

6 - use a very small flat head screwdriver and push up on the clip while pulling the plug out

Really glad they seem to have fixed this issue with the MY2024. At least so far!
I thought so… but this morning my cellular internet connection seems to have flaked out! Instead of signal bars, I see a triangle with an X. And holding down the defroster didn’t initiate a restart. (It just turned in the defroster when I release it after 45 seconds.) I’m going to let it sleep overnight and see if it resets itself …

So, I ended up doing the battery disconnect thing and it seemed to come back online. But I didn’t drive it, and it was offline in the app all night. Now I went out and it keeps going back and forth between having no signal and having signal, so either there’s an issue with Verizon or it’s broken 😞

Interesting design change on the Polestar 4 - it’s much easier to access the negative pole of the battery if needed.

Ignore the blue cable, that was from the trickle charger.

Thank goodness. It seems that all car manufacturers are interested in hiding everything to keep people away from being able to do anything to "fix" their cars.
